I have followed this thread from the beginning but just to be sure I've gone back and scoured it for any mention of newspapers being searched or links to someone searching newspapers and I can find nothing. Possible that I missed it? Sure...but I would think even if I missed the original post that you're referencing, I would have at least run across responses to that post and I can't find any of those either. So I think, in all fairness, you need to provide a direct link to the person who searched the newspapers or stop saying a search was conducted and nothing was found in any newspaper.

1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What’s more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several Communist front organizations.
The Red Scares and the McCarthy hearings did NOT do a good job of peeling off the bad from the good. Moreover the Soviets (and even Mao himself to some extent) were our ALLIES, not our enemies. When we burned (electrically) the Rosenbergs for what was popularly called treason (the crime was espionage, not treason) that was wrong because they spied for an ALLY.
As ruthless a mass murderer of a Marxist as Stalin was, he was our ally. It is NOT a hanging offense to spy for an ally.
In order to peel off the good from the bad, the fight has to be closer in, wrestling sweat-to-sweat rather than spear chucking wildly from up the hill, otherwise what has happened is what happens. The poisonous vine gets inside the bark, and we get a rudderless self-doubting pretender or self-hater in command, we are (possibly) then sailed right into the arms of our true enemies.
If Obama was born August 4, 1961, his eleventh birthday would be in 1972.
I was thinking you had a really good point here concerning Obama's lack of memory for details, but on rereading your post I wonder if the error does not arise instead from Obama's poor sentence structure. Perhaps he meant to say that his father's visit was before his eleventh birthday, rather than the later trip.
Interest. Frank Davis was born in Arkansas City, Kansas. I wonder if he knew the Dunham family from Kansas?
See post #2562
This is very relevant to this thread and today since CPUSA is MoveOn.org.

Too early. This should have waited until after the Rat convention.
Yes, I saw, this: “...Davis, who wrote the memoir, Living the Blues, had befriended a Euro-American family that had migrated to Honolulu from Kansas...”.
But there are too many inconsistencies.
You are correct about the thread hijack, I do not want it either. So too I think that the Frank Davis stuff is off-topic, whether it’s his corruption or his communism.
I disagree. I don’t find the Frank Davis stuff off topic at all. Matter of fact, it lends a Lebensborn type of flavor.
I was respectfully declining the philosophy of Ally vs. Infiltration insight into communism for this thread. There are a number of Cleon Skousen and Joseph Borkin threads here at FR that would be more appropriate.
“There is absolutely ZERO witnesses of any sort for Obama in Hawaii regarding his birth.”
I suspect his mother was at the event. ;-)
And ‘lack of sufficient documentation to convince me’ is not the same as there being no witnesses to the event. There were likely several, they just didnt know it was the Obamessiah, and so memories have been lost.
But we are left with this long, bizarre thread, where a *claim* that somone ‘admitted’ to forgery in the birth certificate was really revealed to be an admission of taking the posted birth certificate and playing around with it.
The Obama camp is standing behind the ‘official’ birth certificate:
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/06/obama-birth.html
(UPDATE: In reaction to some of the comments left below challenging the veracity of the document, Ben LaBolt, an Obama campaign spokesman, sent the following reaction to The Ticket: “I can confirm that that is Sen. Obama’s birth certificate.”)
Still, I've been reading the Davis stuff as off topic and had no idea that was the theme you see in it.
“Honolulu Airport ticket area during Christmastime, reportedly 1961”
‘Reportedly’? Try ‘mistakenly’.
“If so, then who is the boy, because it then can’t be Barack?”
I keep seeing an erroneous speculation added to a contradiction (how can 10-12 year old Barack be in a 1961 pic) being used to build up some further ‘explanation’ that is bizarre. (So now Barack’s bro Malik is in the Honolulu airport in 1961?!? Um, no.)
Time to start shaving with Occam’s razor guys. Simple answer: Note also the christmas tree lights at the airport. This was a visit at christmastime. Note the age of Barack Sr in the pic, he’s not early twenties. the presumed date is wrong, it is 1971 or so not 1961, and it all fits with the visit of Sr to Jr for Christmas in 1971. This is a pic from 1971 or so, and the boy in the pic is Barack.
Go to the link, a must read.

What Barack Obama Leared from the Communist Party
(snip)
“...in Hawaii was an African-American poet and journalist by the name of Frank Marshall Davis, who was certainly in the orbit of the CP (Communist Party) — if not a member — and who was born in Kansas and spent a good deal of his adult life in Chicago, before decamping to Honolulu in 1948 at the suggestion of his good friend (and Communist Party member) Paul Robeson.

Family Ties
Obama’s grandparents, Stanley Armour Dunham and his wife Madelyn are another piece of the puzzle. Key details come from interviews in The Chicago Tribune and Seattle Times.
Done bouncing around Kansas, California and Texas in the years after World War Two, Stanley and Madelyn in 1955 picked up and relocated 2,000 miles from Texas to Seattle. The next year they relocated to Mercer Island specifically so their daughter, Obama’s future mother, Stanley Ann Dunham could attend Mercer Island high school.
One year earlier, Mercer Island schools had distinguished themselves in a way which might have caused others to avoid them. The Chicago Tribune explains,
“In 1955, the chairman of the Mercer Island school board, John Stenhouse, testified before the House Un-American Activities Subcommittee that he had been a member of the Communist Party.”
After intense debate, Stenhouse decided not to resign from the school board according to an April 11, 1955 account in Time Magazine.
Stenhouse was not the only leftist connected to the school. The Seattle Times explains:
One respite (from Americans Stanley Ann Dunham looked down on) was found in a wing of Mercer Island High called “anarchy alley.” Jim Wichterman taught a wide-open philosophy course that included Karl Marx. Next door, Val Foubert taught a rigorous dose of literature, including Margaret Mead’s writings on homosexuality.
Those classes prompted what Wichterman, now 80 and retired in Ellensburg, called “mothers’ marches” of parents outraged at the curriculum.
Dunham thrived in the environment, Wichterman said.
“As much as a high-school student can, she’d question anything: What’s so good about democracy? What’s so good about capitalism? What’s wrong with communism? What’s good about communism?” Wichterman said. “She had what I call an inquiring mind.”
She also showed her politics, wearing a campaign button for Adlai Stevenson. And despite flirting with atheism, she went to services at East Shore Unitarian church, a left-leaning congregation in Bellevue.
The Chicago Tribune mentions a description of the Dunham’s chosen church as “The Little Red Church on the Hill”. According to its own website, East Shore Unitarian Church got that name because of, “Well-publicized debates and forums on such controversial subjects as the admission of Red China’ to the United Nations....” The fact that Mercer Island’s John Stenhouse, according to his 2000 obituary, once served as church president might also have contributed to the “red” label.
Obama often says his mother’s “parents were non-practicing Baptists and Methodists....” At best, Obama was twisting the facts. Describing his grandfather in Dreams (p17), Obama writes:
“In his only skirmish into organized religion, he would enroll the family in the local Unitarian Universalist congregation....”
Over thirty years later, Barack Obama would make his “only skirmish into organized religion”, joining Chicago’s Trinity United Church, inspired by anti-American church leader, Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
“The sign in the Obama photo that says San Fransico is one of these signs. “
Yes. BIGLOOK inadvertently confirmed this with the other picture. This is a picture taken in Honolulu airport.
So we have the place.
The one factor that truly dates the picture is front and center: It’s Barack at age 10 to 12.
You were pondering why Dunham was in a Russian Language class.
This might lend some insight:

“That date is not given at all in the four page article. No marriage date is given in it.”
The marriage date of Feb 2, 1961, and place of Maui has been given in other reports. The source for those dates includes the divorce filing that his mother made in 1964.
Paul Robeson’s big shoulders. So out of Jim Crow’s affect on a gifted man like Robeson and his weakness for the Marxists — he was prey to them — there is begat Chicago’s Trinity, and also begat Mercer Island High School, and they begat Obama.
I vote for poor sentence structure ... he was trying to write his bio like a novel.
“It was during the summer after my father’s visit to Hawaii, before my eleventh birthday”
... His eleventh birthday was August 4, 1972.
The timeline fits if his father visited him Christmas 1971, when he was 10 and 1/2 years old.
