I think the damage was done....... think about it: Obama just gave his “patriotism” speech, and what is everyone talking about? Wesley Clark. LOL!
This is one of those things that can be handled by the American people without McCain needing to lift a finger. However, I see your point. It would have been better for McCain to either blast him or say nothing at all when asked about it: “I’m not going to get into the mud with the Obama campaign” would have been better than the response he gave. IMO
At least he didn’t say “We’re all God’s children.” again. :-)
Add to that the fact that all Wesly managed to accomplish is to make Obama look like he has zip, nadda, no leadership skills.
