Rush— Webb was talking about the Vet bill. He was talking about Congress controlling the “rotation” schedule.
Webb WAS hypocrtical not because he was talking about the Obama/Clark comments, but he was talking about Congress taking over the job that Generals should do, and then saying that we should be taking “politics” out of the military.
I think the damage was done....... think about it: Obama just gave his “patriotism” speech, and what is everyone talking about? Wesley Clark. LOL!
This is one of those things that can be handled by the American people without McCain needing to lift a finger. However, I see your point. It would have been better for McCain to either blast him or say nothing at all when asked about it: “I’m not going to get into the mud with the Obama campaign” would have been better than the response he gave. IMO
