The e-mail landed in Danielle Allen's queue one winter morning as she was studying in her office at the Institute for Advanced Study, the renowned haven for some of the nation's most brilliant minds. The missive began: "THIS DEFINITELY WARRANTS LOOKING INTO."

I hope they asked her permission before printing her identity.
Could be.
I have a few people you could help me with.... : )
I've never heard or read anyone remark about the most annoying and irritating speech defect the man (Obama) has when enunciating words that end in the letter "S."
He exagerates the "s" sound like a hiss, kinda like the Saturday Night Live skit that mocked the Chicago sports fans with Chris Farley and the gang calling the Bears... "Da Bearssss," and the Bulls... "Da Bullssss!"
You listen closely and see if he doesssn't talk like thissss. It almost whistlessss!!! (let me know if you hear it too)
Probably true. But his religion or lack of is one of his minor negatives to me.
His major negatives are too numerous to list.

Amazon Book Review:
"Vastly Illuminating!" September 25, 2004
By Kat Bakhu
"I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.
It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.
Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.
This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air."

Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left -by David Horowitz
Not all dissent is equal, and Americans whose actions are calculated to give aide and comfort to the butchers who murdered 3,000 innocent people on September 11, 2001 are not patriotic at all... they are, in fact, quite the opposite.

Question from audience:
You mentioned a little bit ago, "Why did it take a bunch of Arabs to do what you all should have done a long time ago," that's my question.
Churchill: I'm gonna repeat that, tell me if I got that right: Why shouldn't we do something and how do you you move so they don't see you coming.
As to the first part, not a reason in the world that I could see. I can't find a single reason that you shouldn't in a principled way there may be some practical considerations, such as do you know how (laughter from audience)
you know, often these things are processes. It's not just an impulse. And certainly it's not just an event.
And the simple answer, although it probably should be more complicated, but I'm not being flip and giving the simple answer, is:
You carry the weapon. That's how they don't see it coming. You're the one...
They talk about "color blind or blind to your color." You said it yourself.
You don't send the Black Liberation Army into Wall Street to conduct an action.
You don't send the American Indian Movement into downtown Seattle to conduct an action.
Who do you send? You. Your beard shaved, your hair cut close, and wearing a banker's suit.
There's probably a whole lot more to it, you know that. But there's where you start. .."

Now, of course, you can point out that there are collectivists who are Christian and Jewish, and this is true, but the judeo-christian ethic has proven compatible with capitalism and freedom. Islam hasn't. There's no Islamic influence in the American experiment, and freedom is a foreign concept to Islam as far as I can see.
Some of it has to do with the differing underlying philosophy of the three faiths. To be Jewish is to be chosen. To be Christian is to have faith in God's forgiveness. To be Muslim is to be obedient. Now. Which one of those is most compatible with Marxism?
Whether we like it or not, Marxism and Islam are deeply compatible. The only two details in which they differ is in the State v. God figurehead and the tribalism v. nationalism loyalty. But on the individualism/collectivism continuum, Islam is closer to them than to us.
When "whiteness" has become a codeword for capitalism, which it now is in universities nationwide, when Islam has become a symbol for "non-whiteness," we are looking at the new class war, which melds white/judeo-christian/capitalist into one identity, and non-white/marxist/muslim into the other. The only other.
This is the direction they are trying to move us. So the point of this rather long post is this: If Obama is, in addition to being a marxist, also possessing an imprint of cultural islamism (even if it's just from childhood experiences), he is the perfect candidate to solidify this thinking. And that is dangerous to the last free country.
Free speech means nothing to these people, unless of course it is their free speech.
ONLY WHEN THEY OWN IT.
Yes, Wright is a scumbag but remember he is also a "reformed" muslim, or is he? Did he really convert or just pretend to. You see with muslims and their beliefs that you can lie to infidels you never know if what they show on the surface is true.
THe article also makes a rather rash assumption that these e-mail epidemics are carefully coordinated by a group of people who, though they may not always know each other’s identities, are in on some kind of plot together. In fact, most e-mail epidemics (political, humor, “bonsai kitten”-type outrage, or whatever), are the result of one person sending out an initial e-mail (perhaps with the intent of starting an epidemic) and hundreds of other people mindlessly hitting “forward” to their entire address books, and often to Internet message boards and list-servs as well.
The mindless idiots who engage in this rarely bother to blind copy their mass e-mails, thus becoming major spreaders of e-mail address collections for spammers. Anybody I know who sends me a group e-mail with my address visible to people I don’t personally know gets a harsh rebuke and firm instructions to never do it again. I don’t bother reading the content as the mode of transmission marks it unmistakeably as garbage.

The Real Story Behind Rev. Wright's Controversial Black Liberation Theology Doctrine
Monday , May 5, 2008
FoxNews/Hannity's America
[special Friday night edition--original airdate May 2, 2008]
(some key excerpts)
JOSE DIAZ-BALART, TELEMUNDO NETWORK: "Liberation theology in Nicaragua in the mid-1980's was a pro-Sandinista, pro-Marxist, anti-U.S., anti-Catholic Church movement. That's it. No ifs, ands, or buts. His church apparently supported, in the mid-'80s in Nicaragua, groups that supported the Sandinista dictatorships and that were opposed to the Contras whose reason for being was calling for elections. That's all I know. I was there.
I saw the churches in Nicaragua that he spoke of, and the churches were churches that talked about the need for violent revolution and I remember clearly one of the major churches in Managua where the Jesus Christ on the altar was not Jesus Christ, he was a Sandinista soldier, and the priests talked about the corruption of the West, talked about the need for revolution everywhere, and talked about 'the evil empire' which was the United States of America."
REV. BOB SCHENCK, NATIONAL CLERGY COUNCIL: "it's based in Marxism. At the core of his [Wright's] theology is really an anti-Christian understanding of God, and as part of a long history of individuals who actually advocate using violence in overthrowing those they perceive to be oppressing them, even acts of murder have been defended by followers of liberation theology. That's very, very dangerous."
SCHENCK: "I was actually the only person escorted to Dr. Wright. He asked to see me, and I simply welcomed him to Washington, and then I said Dr. Wright, I want to bring you a warning: your embrace of Marxist liberation theology. It is contrary to the Gospel, and you need, sir, to abandon it. And at that he dropped the handshake and made it clear that he was not in the mood to dialogue on that point."

Malik Zulu Shabazz, chairman of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (NBPP):
"We are happy today to be standing side by side with the Nation of Islam. We believe, like the Nation of Islam and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad believe, in a nation of our own. We believe in a Black first philosophy and a Black Liberation Theology. We dont worry about the criticism. We love all of those who labored in the Panther Party from the 60s. Many are with us today."

From the article: REVOLUTIONARY HEROES
excerpt...
"On May 1st, May Day [1969], the day of the gigantic Free Huey rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo.
Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.
The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."
To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."

Danielle Allen is also guilty of stringing along some truths to make an untruth.
I'd be willing to bet she's endowed better than Nobama. Or at least she was before the sex change operation.
Danielle Allen a Political Theorist... theorizes some truths to make untruths about Freepers, and uses her snob Chicago educated elitism to act like she is above the fray. Bring it on Danielle.. .Bring it on.
There’s no more evidence that Obama “possessed an imprint of cultural islamism”, than that millions of nominally Christian graduates of US public and private schools and colleges do. For the past 7 years, the vast majority of public and private schools and colleges have been pushing curricular and extracurricular PR for the “Islam is a religion of peace” cause, and shutting up anybody who tries to seriously disagree by accusing them of being “ethnocentric”, engaging in “hate speech”, etc. A lot of the victims of this brainwashing have more warm, fuzzy feelings for Islam that many actual practicing Muslims do.
