There are two types of cops today: those who are servants to the people, and those that feel they are to rule over the people. Sadly there seems to be more and more of the latter.

Ok, I’ve calmed down. She’ll win a few million, and while living well is definitely the best revenge, I’d applaud her if she devoted just a fraction of it to the second best.
Be that what it may.

...charged with obstruction of governmental administration.

OMG, you can be charged FOR THAT? That could be just about anything. Call a bureaucrat on the phone while he's counting beans, "AHA, you're obstructing my bean counting! Body slam you." What am I missing?

On the other hand, it DID look like she was being a royal PITA.

Ok I’ll say it then. The gal’s brother’s and male friends should drive that POS JBT out into the woods and beat him until he is black and blue, and cries like a little girl with spit bubbles coming out of his nose.

and then, when he does not personally apologize to the woman with sufficient sincerity he should go back out to the woods for a much longer stay, until it get cold enough to snow in hell.

It looked like she was saying “Get your hands off me” or “Don’t push me” which may or may not qualify as being a PITA, depending on the circumstances.

If I am not mistaken the Gestapo was created by recruiting police officers to fill the positions. I’m sure they all believed they were just doing their jobs.

It looks like the other officer, standing behind her to her right, lifted his hand and arm toward her in a halfhearted attempt to calm the situation when Simoes lifted her and slammed her into the ground. It doesn't appear the officer2 followed through on his better judgment.

They show it several times. I thought the best view of what happened started at 14 seconds into the report. You can see her square off against the cop, gesticulating emphatically, even threateningly. The body language is pretty clear to me. It's the same old tired "I'm a minority. I hate you honkies. I hate pigs. I hate America. Viva La Raza!"

The cops were there to help, 'fer crying out loud, but she's got to throw her little minority fit at least once a day, I suppose. Some example she set for her niece.

Actually, I think the cop set a better example for the niece, and as a result she'll be a lot more likely to behave in a civil manner around other people when she grows up.

Granted, the punishment for her refusal to cooperate was a bit severe, but I think physical restraint was perhaps necessary and that the cop can make a pretty plausible case that he didn't mean to hurt her. For instance, looking closely at the tape, I don't think he meant to pin her arm to her side. If it had been free, she could've broken her fall.

Wish I were on the jury. I wouldn't give her a dime. Maybe a nickel, but definitely not a dime.

"Oh Lord! That’s so nasty. You could be arrested for that."

Sorry....I'll take my punishment...

“Granted, the punishment for her refusal to cooperate was a bit severe,”

That shows where you’re coming from. You think a cop has the power to administer “punishment”.

If HE has such power then so do I.

Pretty simple.

It would perhaps be punishment if it were used to get back at someone for something and the arrest were otherwise undeserved. So possibly in this case it was used as such, but generally the power of arrest is a tool cops use to keep order. An arrest my be addressed via the system. A savage assult committed by a cop because he didn’t like some attitude or other is a whole ‘nother thing.
In fact if a person treated as this woman seems to have been, responded on the spot with a massive ass kicking delivered to the cop, they’d get off scott free if I were on the jury.

He could've body slammed her to the floor ten times harder if he had wanted to. If you ask me, he was rather gentle and used the force necessary to effectuate an immediate arrest, as LEOs are charged to do. Unfortunately, the lady went into the floor at the wrong angle and with a force perhaps a little harder than the cop meant to use. Easy to understand as this is not an exact science.

He should be returned to duty with full back-pay, a clean slate, and maybe a little extra duty, i.e., training on how to properly body slam an uncooperative ho who's resisting arrest. imho

Oh, she was “resisting” now?

This coward has got himself into trouble. Hope you don't have your pathetically angry heart set on this clown getting thanked for his unprofessional conduct.

Women are pretty much the likely ones these sissy-boys-with-badges pick on in this manner. I know that from personal experience. I never met one who started something with me, on the job or off, who had the balls to follow through. A few friends of mine have had the same experience.
