Assuming that the arcane schemes you are citing would pass constitutional muster today (not likely), those schemes are not relevant to stopping Obamamessiahman unless a lot of conditions are met.

1. What proof have you that Hussein was born outside of US jurisdiction? That burden of proof would fall on anyone challenging his qualifications. "We think his birth certificate looks funny" is not going to stop him, particularly if the actual birth certificate is on file, appropriately date stamped and signed and a public record in Hawaii (an American territory or more likely a state when he was born).

2. Even if Hussein were born abroad (and concededly his father was a Kenyan national), his mother appears to have been a native of Kansas who was born and brought up there and later went world hopping (Peace Corps???) as a liberal without renouncing her citizenship. Is this not so? If it is so, then there is no argument and he qualifies.

3. Assuming, for the sake of argument, that we have a way to block him as one not born a natural citizen of the US, ought we not wait until he has been nominated to spring the trap???

No.

This isn’t about his mother renouncing or losing her citizenship. The point is that she was only 18 when he was born, too young to have met the “5 years after age 16” requirement.

I didn’t write the law, just citing it.

As you your point 3, yes. If any of this interesting speculation is true, the Republicans probably are sitting on proof till September.

Frankly, while I find this sorta fun, old Barry has more critical vulnerabilities that McCain and company should spotlight.

We don't know that it is on file, that it is appropriately date stamped and signed, a public record in Hawaii. For something this crucial, the only thing they provide is a faked certification of live birth.

Besides, since citizenship is required for the office, the burden of proof lies directly upon the office seeker and no one else to demonstrate that he meets the requirements. He still has not done this.

2. For the period of time in which he was born, a birth outside the U.S. to parents of whom only one was a U.S. citizen required that that parent who was a U.S. citizen have lived for at least 5 years in the U.S. after the age of 16 and prior to the birth of the child. Obama's mom gave birth to him at age 18. So, if he was born outside the U.S., he has no qualification to be a U.S. president.
