RUSH: I went back and did a little research, folks, because I still can't get over this. I can't get over the fact that this guy from the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in the Atlanta Urinal-Constipation yesterday, Charles Steele, Jr., went out and said that we're gonna still be criticizing people here because Obama doesn't have any slave blood. He's not authentic. He's not black enough, ain't got no slave blood. He said that Michelle Obama has slave blood, but Obama does not have slave blood himself, and, as such, the genuine civil rights movement blacks will not have a representative in the White House, therefore the race industry can go on.
One of the bits of research that I did (I vaguely remembered this) is a Chicago Tribune story from March the 2nd of 2007. "Many people know that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's father was from Kenya and his mother from Kansas. But an intriguing sliver of his family history has received almost no attention until now: It appears that forebears of his white mother owned slaves..." Remember this? This "according to genealogical research and census records. The records -- which had never been addressed publicly by the Illinois senator or his relatives -- were first noted in an ancestry report compiled by William Addams Reitwiesner, who works at the Library of Congress and practices genealogy in his spare time. The report, on Reitwiesner's website, carries a disclaimer that it is a 'first draft' -- one likely to be examined more closely if Obama is nominated."
Well, Obama has been nominated. Has this been "examined more closely"? Might the Southern Christian Leadership Conference look into this? I mean, if Obama's white mother -- white mother -- from Kansas owned slaves, could it be said that Obama has slave blood? Well, can I give you a name? Sally Hemings. I mean, we don't know what went on between Obama's relatives and the slaves. We don't really know. It could well be, it could not be, but he does have an ancestral relationship with slavery on his white mother's side. Now, many of you have been sending via e-mail questions since last hour's segment with our Official Obama Criticizer, Bo Snerdley. One of the questions most frequently being asked is if the Official Obama Criticizer, Bo Snerdley, has any slave blood himself because people think this might be a qualification in terms of your being black enough, officially black enough to criticize. So let me just put the question to you. Do you have slave blood flowing through your veins?
SNERDLEY: As I have said previously: I am certified black enough. Yes, I have slave blood. I also have Native American blood.
RUSH: Indian blood, for those in Rio Linda.
SNERDLEY: Yes, yes. And! I have Irish blood coursing through my vanes as well. It shows up under the microscope. All of them, different ones, they show up.
RUSH: You've actually had your blood microscoped?
SNERDLEY: Yes, and they identified slave blood.
RUSH: This was part of the process?
SNERDLEY: Yes. We identified the different segments.
RUSH: True. Why did you...?
SNERDLEY: African blood, there. Slave blood, there. Indian blood, there.
RUSH: There is separate slave blood hemoglobin that you can see in the microscope?
SNERDLEY: Yes. They're chained differently. Leave that alone.
RUSH: Had no idea. And the Irish blood?
SNERDLEY: Oh, yes! It's a little bit more red at the top.
RUSH: So you've noticed all three of these in your blood?
SNERDLEY: Four of them. There's the African blood.
RUSH: African blood? That's not the same as the slave blood.
SNERDLEY: No, the slave blood happens when you came to America. You got slave blood then.
RUSH: Oh, I see. Okay. As far as you know, Obama has none of this?
SNERDLEY: From what I understand, Obama has no slave blood. He has African blood, and he has Caucasian blood. White cells. A lot more white cells in the blood of Obama.
RUSH: What do those look like in the microscope?
SNERDLEY: White!
RUSH: That would make sense. So you're saying the white blood cells in Obama would be the white blood from his, uh, mother?
SNERDLEY: That's what Joe Biden was trying to say when he said "articulate." It's code words. That's Democrat code words.
RUSH: Code word for what, white blood cells?
SNERDLEY: That's what Joe Biden was saying! Those are Democrat code words.
RUSH: "Articulate" meaning he didn't have slave talk, right?
SNERDLEY: Right!
RUSH: Slave talk. Okay. Well, I appreciate this enlightenment. That's Official Obama Criticizer Bo Snerdley answering questions from the audience, whether or not he has slave blood.
It doesn’t translate as well in type. But on air...it was hysterical. The part where Snerdley says, “Leave that alone.” There was a brief pause before that. I almost dropped the dish I was drying when I heard Snerdley say they were “chained differently.”
That's the one that would have shown the idiocy of the whole thing and make me spew Mountain Dew all over my steering wheel.
I believe Bo (James Golden) is the original. He use to have his own talk show in NYC and I think did some things with Free Republic at one time. He left Rush for ? time but has been back for quite a while.
He might be the original but about a year ago Rush was asked this question and If I recall correctly, he called him #3. Maybe being protective, I don’t know.
I know. It was one of those, “He said WHAT??” moments. lol
More importantly, B. Hussein has no “Great Society” blood either. But his blood is Red, very very Red. Makes Trotsky’s look just pink by comparision.
I love Snerdley’s “translations” for the “bro’s in the hood”.
Hilarious stuff!
In 1989 my son said " Dad I have been listening to this guy named Rush for about six months.
He sounds just like you!"
Of course I had to tune into Rush.
Almost twenty years ago, time flies when you are having fun.
They were truly hilarious with that blood bit today - making a point with absurdity yet again. Wonderful stuff, Rush!
+1
I wonder what Don Imus is thinking.
This was the only part of Rush’s program that I caught today. An instant classic.
I listened since to both the original NYC only show and the national show in 1988 ( two two hour segments).
The first was the beautiful and gracious Melba Snerdley, her brothers Marvin and Mervin replaced her briefly after she left, there was a Chin-Yang Snerdley for a while, and then Bo Snerdley, who came opn during Bo Jackson’s heyday. I don’t recall any other Snerdleys, but I wouldn’t rule it out, they are a prolific clan. James Golden is just a radio name that Bo uses when he is not working for Rush.
Yes. That was hillarious. Good stuff.
If you can find an American black with the same skin color as one of his kinsmen in Africa then maybe you’ve found someone with no slaveowner blood.
I don’t know but it will be kept in the classic archives.
Even more intriguing would be to determine if Obama’s father’s Muslim Kenyan tribe was historically a part of the slave trade system or not.
And for that matter, why not point out how East African Muslims continue to practice slavery? Obama may have to pay reparations!
