my father grew up nearly homeless in the gutters of Philly...he had less than great parenting....his parents were divorced....that had to sneak out of apts on Sunday nights because they couldn't pay on Monday...yet he survived....he quit HS and went into the Navy...thankfully, he survived the war, married my mother , and with little education managed to buy a house, raise 6 kids, send them to parachial school, and live long enough to see grandkids graduate from Law school....

his story will never be told....

so Barry Bama.....shut your fat mouth about your heritage....you don't even know what true heritage is...

Now THAT’s an inspirational story! You should be mighty proud of your father. Sounds a lot like mine -only none of us ever amounted to anything. :)

It just was, and very well. It keeps getting told as you and your siblings live as your father wanted you to. God Bless your Dad and you for telling his story.
