This is a political debate about the life and times of one George Carlin -— pop culture icon to some. And nothing but a simple comedian to others. He made us laugh...at the world and at ourselves. Is that such a bad thing? Granted his humor was, at times, bitter and angry. But it made ya think, didn't it? And yes, he did have his issues with "organized" religion. But once again..."Judge not that ye be not judged."

I don’t usually jump on the departed, but with George Carlin, I made an exception. If he finds peace in death, fine.

Truth is, Carlin hadn’t been funny for a quarter century. And his attacks on God, Jesus Christ, people of the Christian faith, along with conservatives and most everything else to do with traditional American values, was sickening.
