I don’t usually jump on the departed, but with George Carlin, I made an exception. If he finds peace in death, fine.
Truth is, Carlin hadn’t been funny for a quarter century. And his attacks on God, Jesus Christ, people of the Christian faith, along with conservatives and most everything else to do with traditional American values, was sickening.

Man...this thread went to sh!t fast.
The guy died...he was a cultural mouthpiece during, and after, some very trying times for America (Viet Nam). It doesn't matter if you agreed with everything he said or all of what he said...He made people LAUGH.
To paraphrase SFC Hulka...Lighten Up You Bunch of Francises!

My point is simply that I can't judge him and you can't judge him...Only our all-loving and all-forgiving God can judge him.
May he rest in peace.

Do you feel better now or still sick?
