My T cells just took a MAJOR chill pill 7 weeks ago when I had my kidney transplant. The transplant center I go to is one of the few in the country that uses Tolerogenic Immunosuppression, which limits the amount of steroids used during/after surgery. I had an intra-operative dose of IV Campath, which basically wiped out my T cells. I did have 2 doses of Solu Medrol 12 hours apart as well, but that has been the only steroids I've received since getting the kidney.
