Wow, ten years to get a business permit? That IS a lot of bureaucracy.
India is moslty Hindu, isn't it? Do you know what % of the population is muslim? I know I've seen some stories about muslims causing problems in India with some isolated terror incidents, but they're fairly outnumbered there, aren't they?

India's religion diversity is:
- 81% Hindu --> approx. 850 million
- 12% Muslim (Sunni, Shia, Ismaili, Sufi, Ismaili, Bohri, Ahmaddiyya, etc.) --> approx. 130 million
- 2.5% Christian (Mostly Catholic, but also Syrian Orthodox, Syro-Malankar, Syro-Malabar, some small Protestant groups and large numbers of Baptists in the north-east of India) --> approx. 30 million Christians (and that doesn't include the large numbers of Christians who migrate as they have a higher literacy rate)
- 1% Sikh (like the Indian Prime Minister),
- 1% Jain (a religion that may have influenced Buddhism)
- <1% Buddhist (despite Buddha having been born and lived and preached in India -- depictions of him as Chinese to the contrary)
- 70,000 Zoroastrians (the religion of Cyrus the Great of Persia) -- the largest community left in the world after the Islamic conquest of Persia
