I sure hope it is aloft and not on the ground

Confirmed spotter report of tornado on ground 1 mi west of Ogden, so it clearly got the main part of Fort Riley.

That path would have taken it over the historic part, the officers housing, the airfield with the helicopter hangers and aviation staff and over the new Whitside Barracks and the Modulars at Funston. If it passes Ogden on the ground the next thing hit will be the Manhattan airport and then on into the housing developments on the west side of Manhattan, KS. Beyond that by three miles and it is right on the K-State campus.

AT 1051 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR AND TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS WERE
TRACKING A TORNADO NEAR THE MANHATTAN AIRPORT...JUST SOUTHWEST OF
MANHATTAN...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.

MANHATTAN...TUTTLE CREEK LAKE...TUTTLE CREEK STATE PARK WERE
DIRECTLY IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO. IF YOU LIVE IN MANHATTAN OR
NEARBY...MOVE TO SHELTER NOW!
