MCCAIN GETS IT ... ALMOST ... SOMETIMES ... ONCE IN A WHILE
NELZ NUZE ^ | JUNE 11, 2008 | NEAL BOORTZ

When it comes to John McCain, he has some good ideas and then he has some not so good ideas. His stance on earmark spending, for example. Now there's a good idea. But then he panders to the global warming crowd. That is the John McCain that frustrates me and a lot of conservatives.

When it comes to taxes, McCain doesn't seem to be any different. Here are some of his better ideas: -Extending the Bush tax cuts

-Lowering the corporate tax rate

-Maintaining a low capital gains tax

-Phasing out the alternative minimum tax (which will save 25 million families up to $2,000 a year)

But then he goes on to say things like this, "Americans are right to be offended when the extravagant salaries and severance deals of CEOs ... bear no relation to the success of the company or the wishes of shareholders."

There he goes playing with wealth envy rhetoric. He says that as president he will see that this "wrongdoing" is called to account by the government. And the government will require that "all aspects of a CEO's pay, including any severance arrangements, must be approved by shareholders." Hey, McCain. The stockholders are already running the show. They elect the board of directors.

Butt out. We don't need a "conservative" presidential candidate who wants the government to tell private businesses how they must operate.

That is the John McCain I'm afraid of.

McCain has said repeatedly that he likes Roberts and would favors judges just like him. He has also said that Souter is an example of someone he would not nominate because of a lack of track record. While McCain may not be a staunch conservative, he is a federalist. That is why he will nominate Roberts’ and not Souters.

If McCain is serious about naming Michael Bloomberg for his VP

You gotta be kidding me.

I guess it doesn't matter, because he has a zero percent chance at my vote right now.

I agree.

I cannot vote for anyone who favors open borders, amnesty, and voted against the Cronyn amendment - a sellout of this country. McCain is weak on defense and unwilling to fight WOT. Our greatest danger come from open borders and illegals roaming across the country. The planes on 911 took of not from Iraq but from American soil.

McCain appears feeble. His voting records indicates he has a difficult time performing the work of a Senator.

Often he becomes confused. He thought Putin was German; with economy the top issue he blurted out that he knows nothing about it; he needed Lieberman to whisper answer to him; the other day he promised if elected to "veto all beer." Etc.

Well, Osama is younger and believes we have 57 states and there are other similar gaffes which escape me right now. This guy can’t use age as an excuse.

Decades of leftist indoctrination in education, the media, Hollyweird, religion, etc. is bearing fruit in this election.....and the campaigns of both candidates are aware of this. Ergo, the battle has commenced by both nominees for the votes of the independents (read liberals) the undecideds (read liberals and the mushy middle (read liberals).

Unfortunately, I think you get it. I don't think it has to be this way as I have seen a very charismatic candidate that had an unbelievable ability to educate those to whom he was talking and achieving true converts.

Of all these groups, I believe our liberal "churches" have had the most devastating effects. Creeping liberalism is destructive, no matter how it happens.

The RINO relic is truly a guerilla politician. He sets up and camps in both friendly and enemy occupied territory.

Both are unqualified for POTUS. The election is turning into a farce.

Some believe Hillary is not yet out. One reporter wrote that Hillary is like Milton Waddams in the film "Office Space" who won't stop showing up, just wanting her stapler back. A couple of Dems suspect GOP is pretending to run McCain and then pull a switch to derail Obama. Obama dances on Ellen's show and McCain chats on the "View."

It would be hilarious - but one of these clowns will likely become POTUS. Tragic.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention?

McCain just wants to be the President of the United States.

Let’s just go easy on him, okay?

That’s all.

Thank you for your time.

I’ll vote for Bam-bam, you go ahead and vote for McCain; he nearly jumped parties twice, in ‘01 and ‘04. At least with the Consitution ticket you know what you are getting (or in this case, not getting).

I want to be able to sleep at night.

There’s no real choice this year; the media managed to get BOTH their candidates nominated.

Agree 100%. They’re both awful. Osama is just more awful than McCain. WE just have to pray for our country. I still don’t know how this happened. McCain was all but dead politically. He had no money and now this. Why?

Money from Soros? Cross over votes and contributions from Democrats. Media coverup of his gaffes. Sneaky plotting by GOP to get the weakest possible opponent for Hillary? Only then Obama came along.

McCain seems to be doing the best to throw the election. Why else state that he knows nothing about the economy? He looks feeble way beyond his actual age.

His last speech indicated he lacks energy, he was medicated, or he wants to throw the election.

Re: Obama. We got through four years of Carter, will can survive Barry.

By electing McCain we put the Rockefeller/Jeffords/Snow wing of the party back into power.

No thanks.
