McCain should suspend his campaign (Vanity)
Little House on Unaka | June 7, 2008 | don-o

Posted on 06/07/2008 3:45:13 PM PDT by don-o

Today, I am calling for John McCain to immediately suspend all campaigning for the Presidency until Labor Day. Let the full spotlight shine upon Barak Obama.

Give him plenty of room to declare his vision for America and give plenty of space for the hard left America haters to drive it home.

The conservative movement is adrift and sees that its values seemingly have become irrelevant to the Republican Party. We grasp at the straw of hope that McCain will make good judicial appointments and maintain our nation’s military strength.

However, he is not trusted and we end up with the “lesser of two evils” situation, which has thoroughly discussed here and elsewhere. It may be possible than he will govern more conservatively that the current President, who has been a disappointment to conservatives. One can hold out that hope.

The fact is that Obama makes a much prettier package to sell to the sheeple. Some time is going to be needed for the shallowness and vacuity that defines the man to fully emerge for all to see. McCain does himself no favor by a premature engagement with him

So, take the summer off, John. Save your money. See you in September.

No. John’s gonna take the ride. And, I want him to win, I guess. Wait, I want him to win.

There! I said it!

Actually, I want Obama to lose

Well, at least you have a good title, though it’s not quite what I expected. ;)

The time to “suspend” was when Bomba was battling the Hillary!, when both competed for the left. With Hillary! out, McCain needs to step up and stay current in the news, as Obomba can now move to the center.

Wow, someone has come up with a really bonzer idea.

No mixed reaction for me. Do it.

I’d rather he closed his campaign, but I’m afraid he’d try to throw his delegates to Hillary.

This presidential election cycle has left me morose.

I'll be sitting it out for the first time since I started voting.

There! I said it!

Thanks for my smile. :)

If the vote in November is close and mccain wins, they were robbed= RIOT....................................................If Mccain wins in a landslide the vote was rigged= RIOT................................ If BO wins I doubt he lives out his term = RIOT. No matter how the vote goes I expect a very violent four years. Just my 2 cents worth.

I posted yesterday that McCain needs to shut up, quit campaigning, quit trying to make speeches. If he did that he might see an improvement.

He needs to quit reinforcing what a liberal dope he is. He definitely does not need to make a speech the same day as Barry.

I agree, but he is too narcissistic to do what’s best for the country.

Delegates should have an alternate ready at the convention.

I thought McCain’s campaign was already suspended until after the convention. Didn’t he run out of money?

It would be interesting to watch Osama flail about hitting at a candidate that said nothing at all in return. See how much rope he takes, pile up the gaffes, make lots of stupid promises and policy statements. Then tear the whole thing down once Obamer is locked into his positions.

Avacado, Don-o and I are probably going to vote for McCain.

The point is, let McCain step back for awhile and let the Obamanation have all the press. Let MoveOn and CodePink and DailyKos and all the hyperleft have free rein to chant, beat the drums and do the Sillies-on-Stilts routine, which they WILL do, just to remind Obama who owns him.

Let the nostalgic Forty Year Anniversary Reprise of 1968 run full-tilt, graying gay-ing balding Yippies screaming and Black Panthers waving their fists around.

Let them gleefully promise to arrest the entire Bush Administration in January '09 and put them on trial for War Crimes. Let Obama be forced to either openly join them, or repudiate them.

No need to make McCain be the grouchy old guy who tars Obama as a radical leftist. Let the Radical Left do it. Just give them the encouragmnet they need. And then Obama can lose in double digits: a consummation devoutly to be desired.
