Incumbents running for re-election this year are screwed.

A “perfect storm” of $5. gas and heating oil, higher food prices and unemployment will be peaking just in time for November.

People are, and will be, angry - very angry.

Probably the reason this Democrat Congress has the lowest approval rating in history, 11 percent.

Gas prices have risen more than $2 a gallon since the Democrats took control of congress.

By mid to late 2009, the economy is going to tank and we’ll be on the cusp of the next great depression (according to economist Harry Dent, who predicted the boom of the 90s, and subsequent bust of the early 2000s.)

If this is correct, maybe it’s better that the Dems take over. They’ll get the blame.

And Obama will promise to fix it all and people will swoon....

I wonder if it is possible to lay this basket of failure on the Democrat's doorstep. While McCain opposed the drilling in ANWAR, the Democrats have opposed nuclear, prohibited nearly all domestic drilling, and increased regulations in the energy industry that reduced the bottom line needed for exploration and alternative energy research.

No. REPUBLICAN incumbents running for re-election are screwed (along with conservatives who have VERY VERY few candidates down ballot to support and nobody at the top.) Democrats running for re-election will have no problem being re-elected since they are the candidates supported by the ignorant, foolish, brainwashed, non-thinking, and naive.

Viguerie's article is spot on as usual.

That and the sudden disappearance of Global Warming.

On top of those 5 dollar home heat oil costs, expect a very long and cold Winter with skyrocketing unemployment. And there will be nothing any of the candidates can do about it that will not make it even worse.

It’s too late to start drilling our own oil now. It will take years to even see a difference on the price. Also, expect Israel to make a move on Iran. It just feels like it is going to happen soon. Especially if this economy goes sour. We won’t have the stomach or the courage to get involved.

That would be wonderful if we dumped the 230 Democrat incumbents in the House and the 15 Senate Democrats up for re-election.

They are to blame for most of this mess after all.

“People are, and will be, angry - very angry.”

We hammered Jimmy Carter hard over this type of economy. Every time we go to the pump or the market prices are up. The GOP ran the show completely between 2002 and 2006. Bush and his party have done little to offset the damage.

Blaming the Democrats and their idiot policies for this may be true and right, but it won’t cut it with anyone outside our orbit. If the situation were reversed with a Democrat president, we’d all be screaming for blood.

November will be a bloodbath.
