Very true... I've been saying that for a long time. Anyone remember the Star Trek:TNG episode where Q threw the Enterprise-D across the galaxy -- and "introduced" the Federation to the Borg? After the ordeal, Capt. Picard said, "Maybe what we needed was a good kick in our complacency." That's what the GOP needs now.

(All right, all right, it's not a perfect analogy. Best I could come up with on short notice.)

I think many Freepers would be happy if we held just 50 House Seats,and 10 Senate Seats but kept our 'ideological purity'.
