Rudy Giuliani may be out of the presidential picture for now, but he may swing the election towards McCain. According to Katy Grimes at Townhall, he has the sledgehammer that just may deliver Barack Obama a knockout punch, again, all because his wife has a big mouth.
The buzz about a tape surfacing of Michelle Obama ranting about "Whitey" together with Louis Farrakhan and the Reverend Jeremiah Wright is interesting, if not a deal breaker. When it comes out, Barack will be permanently branded with the Nation of Islam - not a good tag when running for President of the United States.

The more specifics that are coming out, the more horrible this sounds. Beckle said flat out yesterday that this video would destroy the Obama campaign. We thought that, perhaps, he was exaggerating and the media would be able to provide cover by claiming the remarks were taken out of context. But since then it's become clear there is no way to take these remarks out of context. If she said what it's been suggested she said, she's managed to outdo Rev Wright and Rev Phlem combined.
So let's be super-clear : THIS is why Hillary Clinton hasn't dropped out of the race.
Lots of "critical passages" could be used under the fair use doctrine.
I can’t for the life of me figure out why Beckel even brought it up during that interview. The F&F’s cast wasn’t even asking him about it at all. He’s a big Obama supporter so why bring it up? Unless he was trying to mitigate the damage from it somehow...although I don’t know how his mentioning it helped. I’m stumped....
If the tape is a hoax, thus not existing, she didn’t say whitey or why’d he.

Even if it were to exist as a copyrighted property there would be no legal barrier to showing it publicly as long as there is no money involved. It would be akin to reading a book aloud in a public space. If the supposed tape had been sold then the buyer could show it as often and in any arena as he wanted as long as it was not for profit.
This is my only comment on this subject. I will wait for proof.
I go back and forth on this but have decided to take a wait and see attitude. Forgetting about what is on the tape for a moment, the whole Trinity Church episodes show Obambi to be a typical dim who is completely unfit for any office. If I belong to a racist church for 20 years and decide I want to become president, common sense dictates that I blow them off asap. Even start writing letters to the right rev. Wright showing my dissatisfaction with the Church. But not Obambi, he has the arrogance and silliness to believe that his racism can never be an issue and therefore he has no need to take any corrective measures. Alright, so I’ll cut him a break and say his wife kept them there. But Sean Hannity and the guy from Nat Review nailed Wright on TV one year ago. Now I know the average lib believes that the only people watching Fox News are gun toting conservatives that never leave the house, send an email or pick up the phone. But how on God’s earth could they think after this thing was on TV that it would never become general knowledge. And then that CYA speech where he threw his grandmother under the bus. That was his opportunity to cut off Wright and he totally blew it.
Now this tape which may or may not exist. He is finished. But lets face it, he was finished before. Losing West Virginia was the final nail in his coffin. No Dim has won the pres election without winning WV since 1916 and that was during WWI. Obambi is toast, everyone knows it and the media is just trying to make this horse race look competitive.
I suppose that's as good as an explanation as any. I guess ego trumps support for one's candidate. But with friends like that(Beckel)....
But how about getting on the ticket now as VP. Campaigning in “good faith”, then releasing the tape forcing the Dems to withdraw Obie and name her to the top spot?
The problem is that after 20 years of hanging out in those circles, you think it "NORMAL", i.e. "everyone thinks this stuff", and so why would you do anything?
Don’t forget, either, that Beck’s claim to fame was being manager of the dreadful Walter Mondale campaign in 1984.
But, once you run a presidential campaign, the press always calls to ask you what you think.

Yes, and no. I think it depends on who has The Tape. If, by now, a media organization or even a single reporter has it- and witholds it..that is a deliberate manipulation of the electorate and does not serve the public.
If Rudy is the one who holds the tape- and he holds on to it til later- imagine the backlash.
There could be a lot of unintended consequences.

We have 5 months until the election, I don’t think now is the time to release this, unless Hillary does.
On the other hand, for something that was actually sold on Trinity’s website...that has a million dollar bounty, it should be all over u-tube and the like.
