I guess that Geraldo said it was true and named names. Rush said the same thing, but didn’t name names, he just said that he heard it from very reliable sources at the RNC, and that the tape is in the hands of the RNC.

Rush basically said he was hearing rumors of some tape and didn't go further than that.

All depends on who actually first uncovered this data. Word over at No Quarter is that it may have been Sean Hannity who first discovered it. From him to Cavuto isn't a big stretch...

If it were to be played for a week of so now and even if it were to be a "big deal", come October, the sheeple would either not recall or would proclaim "that's old news" and ignore it.

Rumor has it that the tape SOUNDS like “Whitey get us into Iraq”, “Whitey let people starve in New Orleans”, etc., but really is “Why’d he het us into Iraq”, “Why’d he let people starve in New Orleans”, etc. ... referring to Bush.

This actually makes some sense. If this is true and we conservatives try to make hay of it anyway, it will make us look bad.
