"Someone adopted a baby raccoon and passed it around to everyone they knew and kissed it on the lips," Was that wrong? Should I have not done that? I tell you I gotta plead ingnorance on this thing because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first started here that that sort of thing was frowned upon...

Kissing a racoon on the mouth. How Republican.

Stupid is as stupid does.
At least they were lucky enough to have discovered that the raccoon actually had rabies.

I remember when I was a kid the Disney movie “Rascal” (about a raccoon) came out and I (along with thousands of other kids) begged my parents for a pet raccoon. My dad then advised me that raccoons were widely known are carriers of rabies. He then told me what happens when you catch rabies. I've never gotten close to raccoon since.

Makes you wonder what they’d do with a cute little poison dart frog.

This is just proof that some people you can educate, but you just can’t fix “stupid”.
BTW as of last week, this fiasco of stupidity has cost the state $43,000.
On the bright side, business is good for nuisance trappers.

The pernicious legacy of Walt Disney strikes again.
Coons and skunks are natural carriers of rabies. Any country person knows that, but apparently not these jewels of glittering ignorance.

Did anybody know that raccoonkeeper is the one word in the English language that has three repeated letter pairs?

The radio report said it was a fox. Either way, what idiots. I really think some of these dolts just watched too many cartoons as kids. They still think all animals are our friends.

I’m not sure I’ve ever read anything that says coons make good pets because they can be destructive as hell around the house..........so adopting a baby one is just plain stupid.
