RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - Amazon Indians from one of the world's last uncontacted tribes have been photographed from the air, with striking images released on Thursday showing them painted bright red and brandishing bows and arrows.

I would bet they are actually drop-out hippies from Kalifornia who went down for the dope, and are now playing a game of “Lord of the Flies.”

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Hopefully they will be left alone. Otherwise, outsiders will bring them the gift of disease as the Spanish conquerors did in Mexico many, many years before.

Hmm... anyway the islands have tribes from several ethnicities. I had heard that the Nicobarese are from Africa.
well, maybe not africa, but Negritos — the same ethnicity as Papua New Guineans and Aborigines — not really african negroids, but a differen race altogether.
