Reader A.F. e-mails the chart of the day. He writes: “Michelle, I work peripherally for the insurance industry and get the industry’s magazine National Underwriter. The May 8 issue contains a cover story titled: “Workers Comp for Illegal Aliens Sparks Debate Among the States.” A box within the text describes which states already provide WC for illegal aliens: “CA, FL, NV, NY, TX and UT expressly include illegal aliens in the WC coverage” —- UTAH??? So you can come to the US, work illegally, complain of headaches caused by a little slip and fall and you can go on drinking Dos Equis with my tax dollars for the rest of your natural life. What a country!”
I’ve mentioned the illegal alien workers’ comp scheme before in immigration speeches over the years and have been met with skepticism. The trend has only exploded since I first reported on it.

Should an illegal alien be "forced" to obey the laws of the United States of America? If we can force them to carry auto insurance, we can force them to leave.
I didn't need to check because I recognized the troll. However, I'd sure appreciate it if you could tell me how to check with the new layout.
I used to look up posts to check for trolls and more often I searched for posters I respect because we had interests in common and they usually had good info.
There used to be a search function: "search by poster/key words/title". I've tried putting in a poster's name in the search box, but it takes me to Google. Any clue on where to find the old search function or new version would be MUCH appreciated.

You still haven’t grasped what the conversation is about. It is not about illegal aliens, it it about illegal employers. You are full of smart remarks but no intelligent answers.
If you clamp down on illegal employers, the illegal aliens will leave on their own. That is being proven as we speak. Part of clamping down on illegal employers is making them pay the full cost of employment for all workers. There are employers that play dumb claiming they have no idea that their employees are illegal and on the other hand not obtaining worker’s comp insurance because they know illegals will not report them.
You can’t make a reasonable argument that you are for “rounding em all up cause they’re illegal” and ignore the factors that bring them in. On of the factors is that we make it more painful for employers to hire Americans that to hire illegals.
You have refused to participate in a battle of wits. Feel free not to respond it you don’t have anything new to add.

Here’s some issues to chew on.
What are the affects on pubic safety?
Who has the best data analysis in the country?
Which laws are police officers best at enforcing?
Can you tell if a driver has a valid liscence when following him down the road?
How do you keep illegals off the road?
Why are liberals so insistent on not enforcing insurance laws on illegal aliens?
How do you convince millions of illegal aliens to go home on their own?
Try to get over the knee-jerk response and you will see how the best answers are sometimes counter intuitive.
I can assure *you* approximately 60 percent of suspected fraud cases are now being committed by people here illegally in the So. Cal region. The employers deserve everything they get here.
One other thing. In all my years, I have never seen such a waste of tax payers money as in these (workers compensation appeals boards (WCAB) courts, and their armies of interpreters, and the bottom feeder attorneys that hang around these places all day long. All paid for by the tax payers that are being assaulted and raped by these parasites.
It's so bad, ya don't even know who the bad guys are anymore. The greedy employers that hire these bastards, the illegals themselves, or the tax hacks that work in places like WCAB.
Illegal aliens go into (WCAB) workers comp appeals boards, and they are pandered to, provided interpreters, given legal assistance etc.
It's absolutely disgusting and they are forcing all of us at gun point to pay for this disaster.

I’ve explained several times how enforcing the law helps solve the illegal problem. There are layers of laws that are being broken. Rounding up illegals and hauling them over the border is the least efficient and only works when the other layers are being enforced and keeping the numbers down. You have ignored the explainations and have resorted to name calling. Not very encouraging.
I offered you the honorable option of not responding.
Worker’s Comp insurance in expensive. Not covering them gives a company a big incentive for hiring illegals.
BS, if ya hire 42 people at early 1990s wages it's more than worth it for these greedy sellout employers.
In addition, many employers are paying for doctors visits and treatment themselves even though they have WC insurance to avoid increased insurance costs, etc. It's so out of control it's not even funny anymore.

Greedy employers have become quite good at hiring illegals, and playing stupid.
Most states allow this corrupt coverage of criminals due to the fact that the greedy business and corporation owners have the D.C. politicos in their pockets, and they fund their reelection campaigns so they remain in power.
Of course, this is why the borders remain wide open too...To ensure a never ending flow of low wage illegal labor for the greedy, while forcing the American middle class to pay for all this lawlessness, in the form of housing, medical, food, schools, jammed jails....
It's basically choking off the social services met for legal American citizens.
Well then, it's OK for you and others in this hacked system to hire thousands of interpreters and force the American people to pay for it.

here the injured worker, claimant, pays for their own interpreter, if the employer doesn’t have workers’ comp insurance they sue the employer and the employer is the one to pay, the State pays nothing on workers’ comp here. I don’t like illegals at all, but I feel the ins. companies and the employers deserve to have to pay their claims, maybe if some employers insurance goes up enough in premiums they might quit hiring so many illegals.

Did you know that there is a marijuana sales tax? Why would you tax something that is already illegal?
The answer is that some laws are easier to enforce than others.
