Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin decisions decisions. McCain don’t make me laugh why would I vote for Bob Dole II.
It’s live on C-SPAN at the present time.. VP nominating speeches are currently ongoing... Looks like less than 100 in the audience.....
*golf clap* It doesn’t matter who the next prez is with a democrat house and senate. McCain will just veto bills all day long and congress will override them.....yawn.
Any faults that McCain has is nothing compared to the faults of Obama.
Think about this. All of the socialst/communist groups, dictators, terrorist supporters and terrorist themsleves are either openly or secretly supporting Obama.
That should be enough to put aside your stubborness and vote for McCain as much as it might hurt you like holy water to a person possessed by the devil.
Keep in mind the alternative. The alternative is Obama. Who makes McCain look like Reagan.
No, it's a vote for Barr. Just because a vote is not for McCain does not imply that it's automatically for Obama. Geez. The sort of thinking that "either you're with us or you're against us" is dangerous.
I doubt that McCain will veto many bills. After all, he is proficient at reaching across the aisle.
Yup, gotta agree with ya there.
“Just because a vote is not for McCain does not imply that it’s automatically for Obama.”
Well, assuming McCain is your second choice and not Obama, then voting for Barr has the same effect as increasing the Obama/McCain vote gap by one.
This assumes “no vote” is not your second choice.
I think Obama would be horrible for this country vs. McCain. But if people want to roll the dice and say America would wake up after 4 years of Obama and a Democrat controlled House & Senate, then go for it. I am not that big of a gambler. But heck, no pain no gain.
Simply tells me that the LP has no problem with a Democrat winning the White House in 2008, because they know for a fact that their candidate doesn’t have a chance to win it. They just want to give people the chance to lodge a protest vote. Might make folks feel good, but won’t help our military, do anything for the War on Terror, or help get more Justices on the Supremes who are NOT judicial activists.
Six rounds, eh? Sounds like a party that really knows where it wants to go.
“The DUmmies are celebrating, claiming that John McCain’s chances are “over”, because Barr just got the Libertarian nomination”
That is not the greatest logic (on their part). I doubt Barr will have much effect at all. If someone (i.e. hardcore conservative) hates McCain, and if Barr was not in the race, most likely they would have just not voted in the Presidental race. Plus if Nader is in, he will pull more votes from Dems than Barr from Repubs.

Once again, just playing the devil's advocate, but if folks elect Obama, they know they are getting a socialist. Plain & simple. If folks elect Mr. McCain, they will think they are getting a 'middle-of-the-road' kind of guy, or maybe even a conservative (based on his recent statements) - but they will still be getting a defacto socialist.
Every time Mr. McCain folds under D@mocrat pressure from Congress, he will play it up as "working together in America's best interest" (projectile vomiting alert). You'll get the same government actions Obama would have been responsible for, but they will be presented as "bipartisan," rather than as "D@mocrat," because the repubs in Congress will be forced to go along with Mr. McCain, a member of their own party.
Get ready for more than just a few more Souters - McCain (if he is elected) will make Carter look like a conservative...
When this forum growns some balls to emerge behind their tought talk behind a keyboard and formulates one......in other words, never!
Here we go with another Ross Pero. We got Clinton because of Ross. Don’t tell me we will have Obama because of Barr.
Keep Barr on the shelf until 2012. He might have a very good chance by then. He’ll get my vote in 2012, but not before.

This is just Operation Chaos in reverse. We giggle when Ralph Nader and Dennis Kucinich peel off votes from the left flank of the Democrats. We encourage Cindy Sheehan to bedevil the flank of Nancy Pelosi.
Now Barr, who I respect, will suck votes from McCain who I could care less about. Still there is no way McCain can win if his right flank deflects. So a POX on Barr and his grandstanding.
