Hillary Clinton is still in the presidential race, she said today, because "historically, it makes no sense" to quit, and added that, "Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June," making an odd comparison between the dead candidate and Barack Obama.
"People have been trying to push me out since Iowa," she said to the Argus Leader's editorial board.

July 20, 1993.
Ironically, it was the six-month marker of Clinton's term in office, the 24th anniversary of Neil Armstrong's arrival on the moon, and the 49th anniversary of the unsuccessful assassination attempt on Hitler led by Klaus von Stauffenberg.
Complete meltdown on DU. Go to the “primary” forum. Make sure you have popcorn.
It has recently been confirmed that the man who performed the as-yet-unreleased autopsy is none other than Dr. James C. Beyer, who has a record of concealing homicides behind a ruling of suicide. Kenneth Starr’s “suicidologist” Dr. Alan L. Berman has waded in again and, as he did in the Foster death, ruled it “100% certain that this is a suicide and can be nothing else”.
Yes. But you are a good set up woman for me! LOL!
She really screwed up this time, whether planned or not. She can’t get away from this one, Clinton or not.
Holy crap!! The DU just blew up, I think they hate her more than we do!! ROFL
It’s heart-breaking to know that people have sacrificed, bled and died so that this nation could continue for their children and for complete strangers. And then a presidential candidate says something easily interpreted to be a threat or, at the very least, a desire for something dire enough to happen that would force another candidate to quit.
If that doesn’t make one cry, I don’t know what would.
Would agree, except for the "moron" part.
Those of us who know her history knew about the "evil deranged psychopathic" business a long time ago. What happened today used to be called a "Freudian slip."
Please don't hold your breath. They'll first try to ignore it. Then if they can't get away with that, they'll say she didn't mean any harm, but merely misspoke because she was exhausted from all her campaigning.
“She doesnt know what she is saying.”
No, she doesn’t know she is saying what she is thinking.
Doubt they'll make a big public issue out of this. They'll merely accept her apology and move on. (If they were smart, they might ask for more Secret Service protection behind the scenes.)
Interestingly enough, John McCain was doing time in The Hanoi Hilton at the same time.
America is broken.
Did anyone actually watch the video of her comments? She is being treated like a Republican. Her comment was nothing more than no one knows the future.
The fact that this is on her mind as a reason to stay in it doesn’t sit well.
“My nightmare scenario is McCain picks her to be VP in order to pull in all her voters. “It’s a new Republican party.” i just threw up a little.”
I’ve had that same nightmare...haven’t puked yet though.
I've read this statement a few times today and it finally hit me. Hillary further proves how despicable she is by using a man with a brain tumor for an excuse. Wow.
This bugs me because it reminds me of our own primary. Where is the respect for the rules of engagement and the will of the people, including the time it takes to get every state's opinion on the candidates?
LOL
I suppose you are discounting the possibility of a Freudian slip on her part. Could be unwise. Remember that she does have a history of being involved in, at the very least, a cover up of a murder - the rubout of her erstwhile law partner and reputed past paramour, Vince Foster!!!
