Turncoat RINO.... but I refuse to like it.
Of course he could screw things up worse with his VP pick...Ann Coulter would seal the deal for me...;>)
Welcome back, sir.
He’s no conservative either.
Glad to see you moving things along JR!:)
The turncoat if he is the only one protecting the troops some could do a write protest ins, but that vote won’t protect the troops!
It took quite a few years before the nation we call today the United States came into being. It took a lot of torment and no small amount of convulsions to bring it to birth as it sought to cast off its rugged taskmasters and claim a freedom for itself and a place on the world stage.
It may well be that we are in much a similar situatiion where we will have to rise again and stand against tyranny and despots, only this time, they will be within our own government.
No one wants to see that come to be, but to deny that we still hold the same ideals as our founding fathers and lack their inner strengths to stand tall and fight the good fight when no other course is open to maintain the union should concern all of us, especially our party leaders.
I would hate to see so many ready to just give up and go along to get along for the sake of party unity, more for the sake of appearance than anything.
The message sent in so doing bodes ill for all those who seek freedom and not tyranny as their choice on how they would seek to live.
I won’t be voting for either of them as I still plan to vote for Duncan Hunter by write-in.
My vote will not change the outcome. McCain will carry our state and will win the presidency. He has secured the Independent and more moderate/conservative Democrat vote, his natural constituency. John McCain will be the Democrat’s plaything and the Republican’s worst nightmare.
Hey there Jim, good to see you posting.
As a Reagan - Hunter Republican, the alternative
is not acceptable so am voting for McCain.
Our military deserve an adult who knows who the enemy is
and who has also been there, done that.
WE also don’t need anymore liberals on the Supreme Court
The other week, a large Amphibious Strike group with a few thousand Marines left San Diego for another round to the Middle East.
Last week The USS Ronald Reagan and its strike group left San Diego for deployment to the Middle East.
We can’t let what our military has done for us go down the drain with a pull out by Obama.
I also have relatives who have been and still are in Iraq and Afganistan and know they don’t want Obama as their Commander in Chief.
GTT = Gone to Texas during the civil war. We can do it again. Bring guns, money, coffee, lead and solar panels if you have them.
Thanks.
Suck it up buttercups! McPain is 100% better than either of the other 2 and you all know it!
I’m done with the “I’m not voting for X, I am voting against Y”. If McCain chooses a conservative VP (not Graham, not Lieberman, not Kerry, etc), then I will SUPPORT that candidate and thus the ticket (ONLY because this would be a good setup for a conservative win in 2012, not for any other reason), despite the leftist turncoat sharing the ticket.
If it’s another “moderate”, then I’d prefer the rats take the heat for the inevitable ensuing ruination. Plus, I am not keen on giving my assent to the “new GOP” line being thrown about by big-government Rockefeller RINOcrats (”we need to re-brand the GOP to be more inclusive, more environmentally conscious, more accepting of the New Deal and Great Society socialist entitlement programs and their various extensions...”).
Welcome Home to your haven, and God Bless you with abundant healing.
It may however be somewhat more difficult to throw the yoke with the personification of all you ills as the commander in chief of the armed forces of the Unites States
Glad to see you’re back, Jim. I suppose I’ll hold my nose (with vise grips), vote the RINO, do my puke, do my shower, and try to press on. Again, glad to see you’re posting again.
It is up to the GoP to decide what they will stand for... not what the voters should endure when they forsake their own traditions to move to the center which is what is being sold, imo.
Because the issue of Islamic Terror is the # 1 issue,..I'm going with the one who DOES NOT believe in appeasement.
Needs to be said again and again.
I know what you mean. I thought Hillary was the worst thing imaginable.......and then BO arrived!
Scary......I feel like the days after 9/11.....but it keeps going on and on and on.
Third party. I'm a conservative; I don't vote for liberals, no matter which capital letter appears after their names on the ballot.
MAN, it's good to have you back home, Jim!!! ;)
The rest of you: Save your whining for someone who cares. "Oh, if Obama wins, the country will be controlled by the Democrats!" you cry. Well, so what? That's what the People want, right? Surely, all you believers in representative government would never want to deny the People their choice of the candidate that represents the things they believe in, would you?
THIS is why I'm a monarchist: because sometimes, the People are wrong.
Representative government is dangerous. It only works when the People are educated and intelligent enough to comprehend the issues, when they are sophisticated enough to see through the web of lies and propaganda spun by the political parties, and when they hold the values and mores of the Judeo-Christian worldview exclusively. None of this is true of the current United States population. Most people are damned fools who should no more be trusted with a vote than a chimp should be trusted with a machine gun. Most people are incapable of telling propagandistic shit from fact-supported Shinola. Most people, while nominally Christian, are actually pagan hedonists with no greater morality than "if it feels good, do it". And yet my little boy has to grow up in a country whose laws, military, and nuclear weapons are controlled by a gang of professional pirates chosen by whatever miniscule percentage of the slack-jawed populace remembers to show up on Election Day.
(Please note: I count myself among the slack-jawed populace. I am an unemployable, clinically-depressive Japanese cartoon voice actor, for Pete's sake.)
Yes, in our great country the People choose the political leadership, and the political leadership represents the people. But who represents the Nation the culture, the values, the things that make a nation what it is? Under a monarchy, that is the role of the Crown. In a government "by the people", the answer is nobody.
So I will thank you all to please pardon me if I don't stand up and wave the flag this election year. All this (or any) election means to me is an opportunity for a new crew of rapists to show up and bend me and mine over the ol' prison bunk. No matter which dribbling assclown gets elected in November, abortion will remain legal, income will remain taxable, borders will remain porous, and the global Islamic jihad will be kept politely at arm's length instead of being smashed with a mailed fist, as it ought to be.
No matter who wins the election, America loses.
But that's what we wanted: a free republic, where the government derives its just powers from the consent of the governed.
Too bad the governed are a bunch of morons.
I’m glad to see you’re back in the fray, Jim!
I have many disagreements with McCain, and some might call him a RINO, but I think “turncoat” is a bit much. I will vote for McCain, in preference to an America-hating Marxist.
