I presume that you know nothing of game theory including what is called the "Prisoner's Dilemma." When you have studied it get back to me and tell me how stupid you think I am being - that is presuming that you are smart enough to understand what I am talking about.

I was a poli sci major and an econ minor.
The problem with your scenario is that Poland had a reasonable out. It expected France and England not to do a half-assed job of fighting. Resistance should have worked. Moreover, if we play 20-20 history, Poland would have lost in co-operating with the Nazis bey being treated more harshly by the Soviets.
