Man alive nearly 179 hours after quake

YINGCHUAN, Sichuan, May 20 (Xinhua) -- Ma Yuan Jiang, a power plant executive, was rescued at around 00:50 a.m. Tuesday from the rubble in Wenchuan County of southwest China's Sichuan Province, nearly 179 hours after the May 12 earthquake.

The 31-year-old survivor was pulled by a Shanghai rescue team from the debris of a flattened power plant, after more than 30 hours' efforts.

Rescuers found Ma at afternoon on May 18 at the debris of a flattened office building, when they were digging hole trying to reach Yu Jinhua, a colleague of Ma.

Followed by an amputation operation, Yu was rescued at about 6:00 p.m. on May 18. Rescuers then turned to Ma and sent sweetened water to him through a straw.

Ma was receiving treatment at the temporary clinic of the Chongqing No. 3 Military Hospital, and will be sent by air to a hospital in Chengdu.

He was a power generation department vice director of the Yingxiu Bay Hydro-Power Plant.

do not have to find them. I just have to look at China. Big country, lots of people who are slaves. Not hard to find. here are the directions. Start in a free country like America. Go west over the pacific. Pass between the free country of Japan and the free country of Taiwan. right on the other side is the slag pit known as China. You will know its China from the pollution smell and the enslaved people you see. Cant miss it.

Apparently that is the most rational response you have for this.

I would point gogov to post 49, where zhanli says he can’t get to the URL you posted about Tibet. (By the way - I could). You then stated why should you post any more links if zhanli can’t get to them. Seems to me that is a reasonable approach with regards to his access problems which he noted in #49.

Actually zhanli said that in post #52 and I gave gogov a link to that in post #55. He ignored that. He also ignored a link to a post by Dasrafael, another Chinese FReeper, who says much the same about access to the net. gogov ignored the study done by the Berkman Center for Internet & Society Harvard Law School which found over 18,000 blocked sites in China. He ignored my link to sites beginning with the letter 'T' from that study that reveals numerous sites about Tibet that are blocked.

When someone has an agenda (or a job), 21twelve, no amount of information or logic will effect the basic propaganda line. This seemingly irrational behavior has been played out time and again here on FR. When the response is this weak and immature there is little concern that anyone is going to believe it.

“(or a job)”

As I have posted before -perhaps to you? ;) - I would hope that these posts are from some gov’t person. It is sad to think that there are folks out there that actually believe the propoganda given to them. Of course we do have the students that would stand in front of a tank, and millions of Christians in underground churches, so not everyone in China is brainwashed.

I really feel sorry for the folks affected by the earthquake and the tragedy they are living with.

(Of course, to make matters worse, now China has banned Sharon Stone films.)

Nope, you are just so ridiclous its not worth the effort. Watch out for those commies. You never know where they might be lurking. Some posting on here might be as close as next door. Have you informed your neighborhood watch captain? Maybe a flyer would be better to inform your neighbors. I mean, why limit yourself to postings here? Or have you taken care of that already?

Anyhow, we are not going anywhere with this so, have a nice day.

Right. My links to personal testimonies and my links to studies are ridiculous. My links to hard evidence that websites about Tibet are ridiculous...unlike your joke pictures. We went nowhere because you had nothing but adolescent raspberries to respond with. No contradicting evidence. No logic. Nothing rational. A complete zilch, an intellectual washout.

It's sad to see almost in every thread there are people talking about us with their criticism on us

Ignore the idiots on here. There a lot of very good and smart people that contribute to this forum. Tiger-what-ever-his-name-is is just not one of them.

This is generally a good place for information and discussion. Unfortunately, as soon as you try to have an intellegent discussion on China, the idiots show up. The guy needs to be banned as totally disruptive.

Either way, you have to grow a thick face to debate on here. Famous American saying: Get over it. A more appropriate famous American saying in this thead: Consider the source. If its a guy named Tiger-something, it aint worth it.

Don't let Tiger whats his name see you saying a prayer for a Chinese person. He will accuse you of being a Chinese mole or plant.

I’m getting a little tired of your nonsense. It is FR tradition and the polite thing to do to ping a FReeper you mention in a post. You have been here long enough to know that.

How long do we have to put up with ChiCom trolls that won’t respond when engaged in fair debate in a rational way and then post insults and threats to other FReepers and the forum itself?

The provided link for Tibet can not open, but it doesn’t mean
i can’t find Tibet info in website. There are huge info about Tibet when i used Google to search.Wiki with the history of Tibet can open, and i have a screenshot for it.
I also found more info on Tibet from website in English:such as “http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/13/opinion/13sperling.html?_r=1&ref=opinion&oref=slogin";
http://www.case.edu/affil/tibet/moreCenterInfo/internet_newsletter.htm?,
http://www.infoplease.com/ce6/world/A0861546.html
http://cc.purdue.edu/~wtv/tibet/history.html
........................

The similar info could be obtained everywhere, and i just quoted several from the first page of google search results.

It’s meaningless to block info in such a time, with the info readily to get almost everywhere. And it’s also very ridiculous for anyone to believe we can be fooled because of the blocked info. The similar info is much, and not all the info can be blocked. We can always get the info we want. There is indeed censorship and blocks in the website of China, but it doesn’t mean we don’t know this, and we can be fooled. While i also know it will take some time for us to be more open.

It’s very boring to talk about this here.In fact,i have decided to keep silent the day before yesterday after the debate with “12”,but i will post this new again. If we all keep silent, someone will say:”see, you are blocked, you have no access to FR.You fools”.I will always be here, but learn to keep silent, and post when necessary. It’s meaningless to do this, someone don’t deserve it.

At the beginning,i have always expressed my different opinion about China. But the more i said, the more i have been suspicious.I am a civilian, and i work in a company,i am not an official, but i have been a “Chicom Troll” here finally. How terrible! If i continue to express my different voice,i would even be thought to be a spy in near future.I realized the reason why i am a “”Chicom Troll” here. It’s very naive that i want to change someone’s views of China with my different voice. It’s impossible. It’s very hard to change the born bias.

One should know much of others before criticising them and laughing at them, especially thinking in the others’ way would strengthen each other’s understanding. One can not comment others base to their own standard. It’s the same as “i compared the reaction of Katrina hurricane and caused somebody flied into a rage”.Different countries have different policies, and all are based to their own condition. It’s naive to criticise others when know one point, and don’t know another. I understand your opinion,as you are so-educated when you began to know the world,it’s dictatorial and unimaginary in your mind when some countries block the internet, and their people enjoy no free speech and parade rights. But for me it’s acceptable.Don’t say i am brainwashed. It’s about 60 years for Chinese to be a new independent country, with instability and poor people, and no advanced systems available. While it’s about 292 years for your side to become an advanced country. It’s also very hard at the beginning,wars/poors/,it always need much time to obtain a harmonious social systems. To be honest, there are many problmes in china at present, but it doesn’t mean it will be always like this.Mild changes and innovations haven taken place in China, and it will keep going, but it’s still a long term task.

It may be difficult for you to understand the above i wrote,as the ideation way is different from Chinese and Americans. For example, the place are always is from big to small in Chinese, small to big in English(Nanjing Rd,Beijing,China in US way, whie”China Beijing,Nanjing Rd” in Chinese way). And that’s the reason why we are always told”Pls post in English”.What we said is “Chinese-English”,and hard for you to comprehend it,try many times.Thanks.

P.S.I am female.

I didn’t call you a troll so your post to me doesn’t make much sense. I simply included you because you had said you couldn’t open certain websites. Now you say again that the CCP blocks certain websites. Others here are saying that no websites are blocked. I proved that to be wrong. You say that is wrong. Simple as that.
