To: All I want to let the chinese that are really here for support know that I am sorry for being so rude, and crass during this time. Now I do not like the CCP at all and belive in democracy for everyone. I feel angry and jaded at the world at this moment in my life because someone really close to me in my family died a few weeks ago. I have had a rough year and can be very snappy and mean at times. I do apologize and my prayers go out to all the innocents lost. I was just thinking about this last night about my family and my loss and thought I would say sorry.

MARKUSPRIME,I am a Chinese,15 years old student in nanning, guangxi province.I also lost my father because the cancer in 2 years ago.I felt very sad ,very helpless but didnt felt hopeless.Because I know my father never leave away from me.And my father taught me that ever problem has a lifespan. No problem is permanent.Storms always give way to the sun.Winter always thaws into springtime. All problem will be solved. MARKUSPRIME,In this tough time, you may not be able to control the times, but you can compose your response. You can turn your pain into protanity---or into poetry.Of cause, the choice is up to you.You may not have chosen your tough time, but you can choose how you will react to it.
Life is very like a mirror:if you smile upon it ,it smiles back upon you;but if you frown and look doubtful on it ,you will get a similar look in return.Inner sunshine warms not only the heart of the owner, but of all that come in contact with it.who shuts love out,in turn shall be shut from love.
MARKUSPRIME,I guess you have never been to china before, and you know nothing about the Chinese culture and history at all.You learn about china form the Western media. I must to say, I really dont see any love, generosity, friendship or cooperation from the recent report of Western media and politics, except full of bias/distortion. And Most of the time, you westerns don't really realize that they are just biases - you think you're just being reasonable.
So, MARKUSPRIME,I dont want to talk about politics, but I want to tell you about my feeling,as an ordinary Chinese. In my experience, you (American/ westerns)always believe in youselves,as you do not believe in others. You permit all things to youselves, and that which you call sin in others. So you criticize all the time.
For me, I was rich,if not meney,in sunny hours and summer days.I can go shares my beatufull time with my nearest and dearest. So,however mean my life is,I just meet it and live it;never shut it and call it hard names. It is not so bad as I am.As we know, the fault-finder will find faults even in paradise. So I love my peaceful life, poor as it is.I may perhapshave some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poor-house.The setting sun is reflected from the window of the alms-house as brightly as from yours abode. So let me be grateful that I have suffered no intolerable wrong,no terrible woe of flesh or spirit, such as my fathers(grandfathers). Is it not much to have accomplished so large a part of the mortal journey with so much ease?
This day,I pay my attention to some guys words, those makes me feel confused. I dont know why do we get so hung up on what we dont agree on,when in fact its our differences that make life interesting? After all, half the world is upside down,so theres absolutely no reason why we would all agree on everything.Even something as basic and profound asDont chew with your mounth open is not as widely accepted as you might think.
Why is it that when passions are inflamed we choose to argue and fight, when dancing the cha-cha is less injurious, far more enjoyable, and equally effective in resolving thesion? And why do we feel drawn together sometimes, yet we steadily build up defensive barriers around our innermost feelings and beliefs so we can never be truly close to anyone?
I think , we all have filters on, so we mostly see only what we want to see.So, when you finally open your eyes, you may be shocked at the obscured way you have been viewing the world to suit your own little plans. With those filters removed, you can take a closer look into yourself and others.
Finally,I want to say, MARKUSPRIME,your apologetic post make me warm.So I decide to say some words to you and to all kindly American, whom pray for the vitcims in the earthquake.THANK YOU.In the end, MARKUSPRIME,I wanna say to you, tough times never last, but tough people do.Storms always give way to the sun.Winter always thaws into springtime.Your storm will pass.Your wither will thaw.Your problem will be solved. And ours too.(I expect you and all the american in this board can see what I said)

I'm happy to see that you concur with me on Solzhenitsyn's insight. Along side Koestler, Orwell, Chambers, Kravchenko and others, he made his life a living witness to what he had seen in the camps and in the former USSR generally.
I do not doubt that there are equally brave and eloquent spokesmen for the Chinese experience of Communist tyranny. I think I speak for most FReepers when I say that we welcome posters from every nation, seeing that liberty is a universal value, belonging of right to all men. Hey - I'm Canadian!
OTOH, most folks here know a skunk when they smell one. ;^)
I like to judge matters on the basis of actual events, so I'll be reserving my judgment on the bona fides of the recent signups from your country after the dust settles a little.
Meanwhile, I am full of sadness over the terrible loss of life being suffered in Sichuan(sp). I am impressed by the evident extraordinary rescue efforts led by your government and genuinely surprised by the Chinese media openness. To be honest, I continue to be suspicious of the general intentions of The Communist Party, and have no plans to change my opinion.
Welcome aboard, anyway!
It is nice to be able to converse with people of other cultures here. This is how we obtain information without the filter of the news media and their agenda's.
While this is mainly a Conservative American political forum, you'll find that many here have varied interests in all things, from science, and history, to technology and more, and we would be happy to share our western ideas with you, while at the same time learning more about the east.
For example: Many here enjoy the shooting sports. It is a freedom guaranteed by our Bill of Rights(the Second Amendment), and since the Chinese invented gunpowder, not to mention the first handgun; in a way, you are partly responsible for that freedom and the sport we enjoy.
But keep in mind; this is a free forum. within reason, most views are allowed, but as some have said, the owner of this forum can restrict views. Such as those that support America's enemies (we are Patriots here after all). It is his right. But for heated discussions (just watch your language), it is best to have a thick skin, asbestos underwear :-) and a healthy appetite for public discourse.
See ya around.
This day,I have taken more attention to this forum, and spended more times to tell you my feelings.I mean,I really very happy in here, and very glad to communicate with you. Most of you are friendly any kindly to me.I very enjoy the experience in here. But I have an important examination at end of month. And I should take my time to prepare the examination. So I want to say good bye to you,my friends.I wish I can meet up with you later here on FreeRepublic in the future.Thank you.
I am not a Communist,so I do not want to talk about my government and the CCP.And I never try to change your mind, but I thanks for your kindly.
Thanks again.
Whoever it is I still think it's a good post with some valuable insights.
Very interesting post.

Thank you for posting!
Oh, and feel free to try to change my mind. ;^)
Best of luck on your exams!
We share the same Father, it seems, so we must be brothers!!!
Of course I will give you my comments. To tell you the truth I don’t buy it. So let me see if I get it right here. Someone has someone in their family die and so we are supposed to not criticize their government? If this persons father died 2 years ago of cancer then I am sorry. I am not sure what it has to do with anything that is going on in the political arena that we call China. I will not directly speak of this person but of this tactic in general. I see this kind of thing on the left all the time. Wasn’t it just recently they marched out the poor children who would be left out if we didn’t pass SCHIP or whatever that health care thing was?
You can feel sorry for someones pain and also disagree with them on major issues. They have nothing in common and should not be used as a debating tool. This goes for both posters.
I will not and can not lower my voice about the murderous government in China because someone has had a lose. I will also not ask for forgiveness of my comments because of a loss I have. As a conservative I take responsibility for what I say and do. I will always do this.
To China boy I say this. If your government wasn’t so corrupts perhaps your father could have been saved. I don’t know. I do know there is a big problem right now with doctors giving out fake meds to Children with the HFM disease going around. I also know that government officials are on the take to make money off of given out fake meds and fake traditional meds. It is a big enough problem over here that you actually see adds about it.
Thus ends my comments. Not very comforting but truthful.
Thanks, KFB. I certainly share your political POV. Well said. With over 82 new sign ups from China since May 12 there are a range of views and attitudes coming with them. One in particular is doing an outstanding job of bringing news of the earthquake aftermath and his personal views of life in China. He isn’t a knee jerk cheerleader for the PLA and has spoken of problems there. His observations are mostly apolitical which may be a necessity for him but it is probably an asset for FR. I guess we will see what the rest are here for as time goes by.
Thank you so much. We do appreciate your kind prayer and help. Best wishes for you.
