Police said four white students at Central York Middle School used racial slurs and harrassed a black student while they rode home on a school bus Friday afternoon.
Springettsbury Township Police were called to the school Monday morning to investigate a report of harrassment on the bus.
The 13-year old white boys "verbally and physically harrassed and intimidated" a 13-year old black boy, using racial slurs as the bus took the students home, police said.
Julie Randall Romig, spokeswoman for the Central York School District, said the district was notified of the harrassment. She declined to discuss details of what happened.
"The Central York School District does not tolerate any form of harrassment or intimidation, including those forms that are racially or ethnically motivated," Romig said, reading a statement. "The district has policies and procedures outlined in its student code of conduct that clearly outline this behavior as unacceptable and subject to discipline."
The district addressed the situation in accordance with policy and the student code of conduct and called police, according to the statement.
The four students were identified and disciplined, Romig said. The district does not discuss disciplinary action taken against students.
Police released a statement that said the department "is appalled at the fact that such abhorrent activity still permeates our commmunity in the 21st Century."
Police are still investigating.
No doubt. It seems that since Wright has become so prominent blacks everywhere are getting nastier and yet again more vocal about their ‘suffering’ and ‘oppression.’
Most of you on this thread have never heard of this, so I’ll let you know:
I attended an inner city school that had a day called “cracker day”. It wasn’t marked on the calendar........ so we’d be in class and all of a sudden word would spread that the day was “cracker day”. On that day anyone that wasn’t black would get beat up and if you were black and didn’t join in you’d get beat up too.
I never joined in on beating up anyone, so I was always scared of being beat to near death by dozens of kids partaking in the insanity. Even though I’m black, the memory of “cracker day” still makes my heart beat fast from the fear I felt back then.
Another funny story he told was how he used to try so hard to impress the ladies back in his day. “I’d tell them how good they looked, pitch my line and they’d turn me down and walk away. Now when I tell them they look good, they pinch my cheeks and say ‘BB, you are so cute!’...Why couldn’t they have done that 50 years ago?”
“Personally, Ive reached a point where my good will is spent.”
So is mine. Of all the races, black people seem more interested in requiring people to pave the way for them and then complaining for more.
“Im sick and tired of minorites (and perceived minorities) crying wolf for money, fame, power etc...”
I know. Of all the races though, Asians seem to be the most diciplined and hard working. They couldn’t care less about their race, all they do is concentrate on achievement. They aren’t all over the place raging about racism, they’re taking over our universities.
“if the same rules were applied across the board and non-whites were held to the same racial standards, we would quickly see an end to this bullshit....”
Nah, we’d see rioting.
People are so sensitive these days. They get their panties in a pinch over the smallest thing. When I was growing up people said things, they p***ed you off & then you got over it. The end. Now they have to launch investigations. But only for designated groups apparently.
I find this suggestion appalling. It violates basic standards of human decency and freedom.
“Cracker” has many, many interpretations, but with regard to the negative/derogatory context in which it is used as an epithet primarily in the South of the U.S. by Blacks towards Whites it appears to generally mean:
Lying, lowlife, uneducated, (person) and other meanings generally in line with those thoughts.
I remember in my youth munching my saltine with Peanut Butter and asking my Southern born Great Grandmother about the term as it had been used in my presence, and I thought I was eating one. She responded something to the effect of the above, told me to shut up and go out and play in the yard. I just took some time to look up the term and found it similar to her explanation of somewhere in the vicinity of fifty years ago.
She is ok, no physical violence, but she was very frightened. Seems a black boy was interested in her and the black girls were not happy about that. My daughter is 12 YEARS OLD. This is middle school we are talking about. The girls had their first strike for bullying. After three strikes, they go to alternative school. I can say that our county doesn’t tolerate bullying.
But race was never brought up. Only bullying. If the situation was reversed, they would have claimed a near lynching for God sake. I know children who got suspended for the N word. But that apparently is the only bad no no word apparently.
you find it appalling but it did work...look at all the problems that have been thrust upon society since desegregation was forced upon all of us....i would be willing to bet that if given the choice all would prefer to go back to it....just my opinion mind you....but if a poll were to be done i would guess it would be the choice of all people....
If the headline writer tried, maybe - just maybe - he could make the headline less informative.
Cracker isn’t about a white cracker, alot of people don’t know that. It means a white person who cracked a whip to blacks.
That's because Jackie Robinson was a Republican. His role models were great educators like Booker T. Washington, not professional crybabies like Al Sharpton.
Senator Robert Byrd (D-KKK) insists that there are white n****ers as well as black ones.
Zesta ping
Fortunately, my daughter hasn't been cornered, yet she's called cracker and white bi*ch regularly by one particular girl. Out of fear of physical violence, my daughter doesn't say anything back like "grow up and get a life", which was my suggestion. Teachers and admin are oblivious to words like cracker and biscuit (or even threats of violence if it's black on white), yet have finely tuned hearing for the n word.
The high school she went to actually had to segregate the white people from the hip hop people. They would tell them where to eat and which side of the campus to go to when they were done. This was done by the teachers and administrators. Needless to say they had a real problem at the school.
After 1 yr there I took my daughter out and drove her myself, across town, back and forth everyday to another high school. Since I couldn’t get an inter-district transfer, I lied and told them she lived with my brother who lived in the new school district.
Force segregation is a horrible idea. But forced “integration” (bussing and the like) doesn’t have the desired effects.
And I’ve heard that after the end of segregation, black owned businesses declined. You can target a certain demographic, but you cannot refuse a certain demographic just because of their skin color, heritage, or religion. Oddly you can discriminate on the basis of political persuasion. And some are trying to add sexual fetishes and beliefs to the “protected” groups. But politics remain a safe target for discrimination.
Black Republicans are called “race traitor” and “Uncle Tom”. To me these are racist terms too but the media loves to use them.
