An earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale has hit China's Sichuan province. The tremor was felt across the entire region - shaking buildings in the capital, Beijing, as well as the Thai capital, Bangkok, and Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. US Geological Survey said the quake struck 57 miles north-west of the city of Chengdu at 2.29pm local time (6.28am GMT).
Some 10 million people live in Chengdu.
I think its a big hoax
It is!! A big Hoax!!
Your CIA buddy, Laz
No problem. (^o^)
my opinion of you being a libral was based on your comment of not using money for weapons which could or would lead to war.....use the money to help others....thats the libral way isn’t it...help everyone out there in the world and don’t worry about the homefront.....just my opinion of course.....good night....
(^o^)
My God. You're Chinese too.
You can always tell from the eyes.
The people of China are free?
Bwahahahaha...no really......LOLOLOL!!!
Thanks all the same?
The Chinese under the rubble in buildings built with bribes aren't doing so well right now, but you don't seem to be too worried about it. If I was experiencing a national disaster, I might not make joining a political web site in a foreign country a priority.
But that's just me.
What is most interesting is the number of new posters on this thread.
Fascinating, really.
Do you know what kind of school collapsed? For elementary children, high school age or university? I haven’t heard any information on the ages of the children.
Bite them.
I am reading that there are 8 schools that have been severely damaged.
I have read that there are no more survivors in the school collapse of 900.
You have a reading comprehension problem. I never said NOT to build bombs. What I did say is that some money spent now helping innocents in a disaster, might save us some bombs later.
Historically, has this ever been the case? I don't know, but it seems to me like it might.
Isn't conversation better than drive-by snarking?
I just hope some good will come out of this, like a better building code for all buildings. What would happen is one of the tall buildings in Shanghai got hit by an earthquake?
I do, too. If you like, we can settle it this way: Collect 1 yuan from every Chinese citizen, and send it to:
Lazamataz
Under the Interstate 85/295 bridge
Atlanta, GA 30340.
I appreciate the help, in advance.
Sorry I shouldnt have acted against my profession, but I just cant help telling you the truth.
I am Chinese too.
Or maybe we can put it this way, that is, sometimes, truth is grasped by the minority. And I think this might better explain the point I stated before.
And also, in my defence, global warming shouldn’t be blamed on one.
Why would you suspect me not being a Chinese? And how did you tell I am indeed a Chinese? Curious again...
agree with your attitude.. we should focus on the national news..... the truth is, it’s is in the early morning , 4:30am, all the national news have stopped.
I can not get any news anywhere... (no 24 news scroll in china as CNN in USA)..
sleep..
