Thanks for starting the Wedding Dose.

I will do a ping after we get some photos of THE WEDDING.

If anyone sees the photos before I do, do not hesitate to post them as I will be in and out today, as many of us will be, between Church and Mother's Day celebrations.

Here is a tidbit from last night that I do not think has been posted

the groom was dressed in a dark blue suit with powder-blue tie and the bride wore a "very simple and elegant" white dress, but did not wear a veil.

....Jenna Bush's paternal grandparents, President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush, spoke during the wedding, though he (the band leader)could not hear their comments.

And about those souvenirs that I described as "tacky"

Souvenir shops ran out of mugs, key chains, mouse pads and other wedding memorabilia, with many having to take special orders for the merchandise.

"We sold out Friday," said Jaime Burgess, manager of Red Bull, who served wedding cake and cookies made from first lady Laura Bush's own recipe to shoppers. "It's great. It shows how much people do support Jenna and Henry."

And Jenna's dad, the president.

Many visitors said they are big Bush supporters and wanted to be there for him.

"President Bush is a good person, and he loves his country," said Deborah Miller of Grand Prairie. "We don't like all his ideas, but we'd do anything for him."

Thanks for shots of some of our wonderful Salado venues. It’s a wonderful town in which to live, and we are so proud that the President, First Lady and Jenna picked our town.

God Bless Them and God Bless America

Amazing, isn't it! And something the nightly news never tells anyone. They just like to harp on his 'job approval' numbers.

I know. It's fun to do your own version of what was done.

For example, I loved to recreate the White House theme for Christmas decorating each year. (Ho hum...it just won't be the same after this one ;(. ) I would always start with basic bland items and color scheme, and then add accents that corresponded with their theme for the year. It sure was a lot of fun.

The Bush ranch is quite a spread seen from the air, Starwise. I thought President Bush only had one cow, but I see a lot of Texas beef on the hoof out there!

Jenna and Henry wedding, I know, was just perfect! (Still want to see pictures...LOL) Good for her for having the wedding in Texas where the media harpies are LEFT OUT, and her Special Day was really special....for all of us who value the Bush family.

As Deb tells us constantly though job approval and likability are 2 different things and the only reason they do not publish likability is fear that the right might remind the public that Clinton did not fair that well in that regard.
