As I write up the Obama victory event here in Raleigh tonight, I notice there's a new proponent of "the Limbaugh effect." It's not coming from Operation Chaos headquarters but from the Obama campaign. Tonight I've gotten two emails from the campaign suggesting that the Limbaugh effect was in play in Indiana. The most recent email, a few minutes ago, was headlined "The Limbaugh Effect in Indiana = 7%" noting:
According to the latest exit polling data, 17% of voters in the Indiana primary today said they would vote for John McCain in a Clinton/McCain matchup.
41% of that number is constituted by people who voted Clinton in the primary but also indicated they will vote for McCain in the general election.
That comes out to just under 7% of the primary electorate the number that may be attributed to a Limbaugh Effect.

“Unwittingly” is how I describe the fact that USOC enhances Obama’s case with the RAT superdelegates. As you rightly pointed out, this was not an objective of USOC. And I do agree that USOC achieved its stated objective of keeping the RATS fighting as long as possible, though it is just about over.
But one effect of OC is that Rush and the conservitives may end up holding Sen. McCain’s feet to the fire bigtime and that will cause Sen. McCain to sweet big beads of sweet. That will show the power of the conservitives.
Late last night CNN was tracking the Indiana vote and a certain county, Hammond? still hadn’t reported the vote. They all looked extremely nervous and the mayor kept saying it wasn’t his fault, he’d turned over the votes, and someone else was supposed to report it. Were Hillary’s operatives making sure she won? CNN and the mayor never mentioned the possibility that the outcome was fixed, but they looked like that lawyer after O.J. was found innocent. Quite amusing.
Rush reminds me alot of a one time Freeper named TLBSHOW. Does Rush have Da Gift also? He like TLBSHOW did sure thinks he does.
I argued against Operation Chaos. I thought it would shove Hillary into the nomination. But now I think Rush was right.
Without Op. Chaos Hillary would probably have lost Indiana, and it would be all over. Now, she will probably hang in there, hoping to seat the Fla. and Mich. delegates and snatch the nomination for herself or, failing that, to batter Obama enough to defeat him in November and pave the way for herself in 2012.
Absent Op Chaos, there would have been no Clinton surge. The Round-Heeled Media could have gotten on with the job of polishing Obama for the last two months. Then all of the Wright Stuff and Ayers Stuff and everythign else would have been declared “Old News” as they pushed on to the fight against McCain.
The only person who could tar Obama was Clinton. Op Chaos made that possible.
Exactly. It's a crying shame that the brilliance of this strategy is lost on so many people. McCain is going to have to go up against one of them in the general election. That is a given. The two are almost interchangeable in terms of policies, so airing their laundry now creates long term doubt in the minds of the electors. Either of the Dims will be far easier for McCain to beat once they are bloodied and bruised by each other in the primaries.
What Conservatives really need to focus on is Congress. We need to elect congresscritters that will counteract the obvious flaws in the coming McCain Presidency......
I think not...Do worry about Hillary getting the prize.....BO has it wrapped up...and his voters will be energized.....Should I assume you will be voting for McCain...or ...
McCain is a socialist too.
>>> Its a good thing that Rush has a golden touch, because Operation Chaos is going to blowup in his face.
Do tell?
Don’t you trust a conservative commentator who has been on message since Bill Clinton was still a governor?
Hell, our own GOP abandoned conservative principles once they controlled both the house and senate.
I see no downside to OC. It doesn't really matter which one of these two RAT idiots is the nominee. There is no one that knows which one is the easiest to beat and the goal was to cause chaos in the RAT party and if it accomplishes that goal, good for Rush and those who participated. Thanks for what you've done.
Do you prefer one of the two socialists?
Your line of reasoning is beyond me. We win by losing? Yea, right.
CNN is so in the tank for Obama and yet so terrified of Hillary’s wrath, they don’t know what to say or how to act. In November, the media will flay McCain alive and he’ll still be elected because anything else is unthinkable. No mention of 24 million of Bill Clinton’s income not made public — how he made it and who was involved (bought). CNN’s too busy to report that.
The forefront of concern at this point has to be Congress. One of three Socialists will be the next POTUS. That is a given. At this point it is essential that we elect a Congress that will confront the new POTUS and minimizes the damage of any one of the three POTUS candidates, regardless of who is selected for that office.
I'm not sure that any of this is important. But it is fun to see the Commiecrats cut each other to shreds because of an Obamanation they themselves have constructed.
They will only cut each other up to a point though. At the "end of the day" as they say Hillary and Obama will be on the same ticket and if they win we will have the most expensive vice-presidency in history. And also the most massive taking of wealth and the redistribution of that wealth that man has ever seen.
I'll take a douche bag like John McCain over the other two $hit sandwiches any day of the week. Go McCain! (bleech! spit! gag!). Go McCain! (puke! patwooee! yuck!.
And you're only worried about what's in it for CONSERVATIVES?
