Barack Obama won the North Carolina Democratic primary Tuesday, FOX News projects, preventing Hillary Clinton from staging an election-day upset in the Tar Heel State.
Clinton took the lead in Indiana, but it was still too early to call the race.
The two states are the last big contests on the primary calendar and together offer the final chance for the candidates to make a serious dent in the delegate counts.
Both candidates were faring well among bases usually loyal to their campaigns Tuesday.
In Indiana, Clinton’s advantage is based on groups that have supported her in earlier primaries — white women, white working-class voters and rural voters.
With 63 percent of precincts reporting, Clinton led 54-to-46 percent.

Gary is where Obama is supposed to run the STRONGEST. Gary also reportedly had a strong turnout.

I think he was hoping to be on stage and win INDIANA too
but they could not deliver it to him. He kept going on and on and on and finally it looked like he gave up and had to end it.

Honestly, I’ve had this fear since they both announced. Hill/Bill would stop at NOTHING to get back to Pennsylvania Avenue. Even take the #2 spot. Like a death wish for Obama? Absolutely, but I think the risk is worth it to him. He may not have a choice regardless.

Yep, that's Marxist talk from Obama. If I have a pie, I guarantee you that I didn't steal it. I'm not a lying stealing liberal. I had to work for that pie and I'm sure the heck not going to give it to lazy losers to squander. It reminds me of "The Little Red Hen" childrens story. She asks for help in growing the wheat, preparing it to make flour and then in making it into bread, but her lazy neighbors don't want to help with the labor. Only when she asks "Who will eat this bread?" do these others pipe in "We will! We will!" But she says "No, No. I will."

Yep.... she’s toast. I thought for a while there that Obama might slide. But this is the OJ syndrome. It doesn’t matter what happens, what he’s guilty of, what he does.... he’ll get 90 + percent of the black vote.
My observation is OBAMA was trying to stretch the speech and he was told they would give him INDIANA during the speech, he couldnt drag it out any longer so he stopped.
Michelle ran out and said what are you doing, they are going to put up number, he shrugged his shoulders and said OH WELL, she turned and said well at least act like a winner.......
