Barack Obama won the North Carolina Democratic primary Tuesday, FOX News projects, preventing Hillary Clinton from staging an election-day upset in the Tar Heel State.
Clinton took the lead in Indiana, but it was still too early to call the race.
The two states are the last big contests on the primary calendar and together offer the final chance for the candidates to make a serious dent in the delegate counts.
Both candidates were faring well among bases usually loyal to their campaigns Tuesday.
In Indiana, Clinton’s advantage is based on groups that have supported her in earlier primaries — white women, white working-class voters and rural voters.
With 63 percent of precincts reporting, Clinton led 54-to-46 percent.

So desperate to deny Nixon legal representation she lifted a brief that indicated a judge under impeachment was awarded legal counsel - they wrote a brief where she said there was no precedent.
She let a pal of hers, a futures trader illegally siphon winning trades made on behalf of all his clients and stuck them in this bitch's account.
Lied about so many things from the Rose law firm billing records to her involvement in the travelgate firings.
I could go on, but it would take hours to remind everyone of the scandals, and the filth that has littered the careers of these two insufferable human beings.
And you are worried about Obama? She's the one promising to garnishee the wages of people to pay for health care. They are both socialists, both want to impose the govt into every aspect of our lives. Both want to take from the producers and redistribute to buy votes.

Flush the Clinton down the toilet of history where they belong, let's move on and defeat this socialist, if we can. America may be too stupid, lazy and uninformed to defeat a socialist. Perhaps there are too many people with their hands out and want America to move towards a European socialist model - but whatever happens in November, America deserves better than the Clinton's.
The fact she's even still in the race is a clear indication of the mess we are in and how stupid most of the people in this country really are. Too stupid to go online and see what the kind of people Bill & Hillary Clinton really are.
If he runs without her he loses her votes. Who could replace that in your opinion?

I haven’t forgotten anything about the Clintons. I detest them both. Hillary would be an awful president and it would take years to undo the damage from even four years with her in the White House.
Even with all that- I find Barack Obama a LOT more dangerous- and frightening. I’ve spent no small number of hours reading and researching Obama- and I stand by my statement to which you took exception.
