“What do you do when a 9-year-old student, with the full support of his parents, decides that he is no longer a boy and instead is a girl?”
Point and laugh hysterically?

This kid needs to be transferred to a different school, IMO. Perhaps this kid is a lost cause, or maybe he does have problems, but no need to subject the other kids to it. Move him/her.

What happens? Shot the parents for stupidity.
Nine years old - there is no sexual identity.
These parents are not parents at all.
Poor child.

Kid, you've got a "pee-pee".
You're a boy.
Deal with it.
Kid's parents: You're a couple of pervy little freaks. Quit messin' with the kid's head.

Kids at this age are figuring out their identify for themselves. They need guidance, not help in messing themselves up forever.

Reading this again, the boy is quite smart. He sees how Society values girls more than boys. He sees, that at this stage our societal evolution, girls are better off than boys and are treated much better. Age 9. Think about it.

Consider the use of restroom and locker room facilities the child?
That ought to be really interesting.
In California the law is already on the side of the “transgendered” and against discrimination in the use of such facilities in public schools.

"decides that he is no longer a boy and instead is a girl?"
If it's happening at the age of 9, it's not a "decision."
The school shouldn't allow this situation - the child should be sent to a different school as a girl and no one should be told.

Liberal moral relativism has erased the stigma of shame, which at one time suppressed these types of behavior. Now, they’re just another victim class in search of a governmental funding source. Pathetic.

There is no evidence that the transition ultimately helps the person, he added. McHugh said he reached his conclusions after studying the issue for 30 years, especially in the 1970s, when Hopkins was pioneering sexual-reassignment surgery. "People came to us saying that if we changed them, we'd solve all their problems," he said. "So we changed them, and their problems remained." Has a study ever been done on the long term effects of sex change surgery?
To: Owl_Eagle
Paul McHugh, a psychiatrist and professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health who studied sexual reassignment surgery in the 1970s, said a school's decision to support a student's transition could have long-term psychological consequences.
"They do not have a right to stop the child, but it's different when they gather everyone around and say, 'Johnnie is Jeanie,' " he said. Society, he added, should not support the decision of an immature person.

Years ago in the real world, this kid would be in counseling to help him with his problem.
Now, they just hand him a dress and tell him “you’re perfectly normal !!!
It’s just plain nuts that all the other normal kids have to deal with this crap.
