Howard Dean appeared on the Daily Show and said definitively that the Michigan and Florida delegations will be seated. (H/t Scott Jacobs.) The video is here.
Representative quotes:
STEWART: If I were designing a plan to submarine your chances, and again, you dont have to follow my advice here, I would take the state that was, lets say crucial to the Republican election chances lets, lets call it Florida and I would find a way to insult them. Maybe not seat them at the convention, that sort of thing. Then I would pick a Rust Belt state, maybe a Michigan, and say to them the same. Now youve got two states that are angry with you. Do you think that would be a good way?
DEAN: Well, were actually going to seat them at the convention.
STEWART: What?! This is news! Are you really going to do that?
DEAN: Were going to find a way to seat them at the convention.
START: Are you really going to?
DEAN: Yeah.
STEWART: How how can you do that when their results dont count?
DEAN: Well, its a little hard, but were gonna do it.
. . . .
Its gonna be quite a juggling act, but were gonna do it. You cannot have a Democratic convention without Florida and Michigan.
Stewart also asked Dean why Michigan and Florida dont have to follow the rules. Dean replied: They do. Thats why they lost their delegates.
I dont get it either.
Finally, Dean argued that the Democrats system is still more democratic than the [system used by the] Republicans you know, the system where the voters choose all the delegates. Stewart let him get away with that one.
Watch it all, if you can stand it.

This news makes a DNC civil war much more likely. In my more tinfoily moments, I wonder if those economic stimulus checks are to enable us to buy more guns in the event.

I don’t believe he would be her VP choice.
She LOATHES him.
She wants a VP like Gore, who can sit in the VP office and write books.
Remember, the goal is to get Bill back in the White House, so he can finish writing his non-existant legacy.
Do you honestly believe that he wouldn’t be the “co-president”? Do you think she could actually make a sound political decision without his guidance?
She is NOT the smartest woman in the world. Bill is the political genius.

I cannot believe that you haven't received any ROFLs or LMAOs or even a humble LOL to your 'Daily Squib' post, that was freaking hiLARIOUS!!!!
"Kissinger pauses for a second then lets off a large fart. His eyes roll back in their sockets in obvious ecstasy."
That ALONE is worthy of a ROFL, LMAO and *many* LOLs!
I'm not feeling too good tonight (seriously), I think I'm fighting off some kind of virus or stomach bug, but your post #24 actually made me feel a little bit better, and for that, I sincerely thank you!
Have a great weekend!

OK, here's what will happen:
Florida and Michigan will be counted despite the party rules stating otherwise. Hitlery will get the nomination over the other commie. Riots will ensue, and Rush Limbaugh will be blamed for throwing the election.
Absolutely hilarious. And in the end, McCain, despite his weaknesses, will win the Presidency.

I will be angry on Obama’s behalf if they dare count MI and FL. That is UNFAIR.

There is an easy solution to have both states votes count. Michigan should be incorporated into Ohio and Florida should do likewise with Georgia. Problem solved. As one raised in the Buckeye state, I can assure you that nothing even resembling Michigan should be incorporated into Ohio. That cannot stand!! :-)

But Hillary offered him all the “uncommitted” votes.
Which is more than he would have gotten in Michigan if all the candidates had been running.
The others had no problem abandoning Michigan because they were going to get crushed there anyway.

Thanks. I thought I'd bring some levity to the possibility that Hitlery will be our next President. Perhaps folks don't think it's a laughing matter.
Hope you get to feeling better.

If Mi's delegation is seated and their 123 pledged delegates redistributed 50/50 between BHO & HRC then votes of these delegates are effectively nullified.
The only difference is the 20 or so MI superDs are included allowed to vote.

Thanks FRiend, and while the prospect of Hiliarly becoming President might not be anything to laugh about, one HAS to admit that watching that damn Clinton circus ride back into town would end up being humorous at SOME level, their usual ham handed tactics and blunders would receive a higher degree of scrutiny than the first time they raped and pillaged our Republic, and there is no way that Hiliarly could conduct herself in a presidential manner, there is simply too much b*tch in her.
I still think that history could repeat itself (because God DOES have a sense of humor) and she might end up the same way the LAST junior Senator from New York ended up when they were running for President 40 years ago.
Wouldn't *that* be a kick in the head, eh Dean (Martin)?

I believe Hillary has known about Wright for a long time. The timing of his exposure was a master stroke. In retrospect, she couldn't possibly have not known. Master stroke indeed.

The DNC Plantation Managers have decided it’s time to put those uppity ungrateful $^%#$#$ in their place...
The DNC Plantation Managers are about to demonstrate to that uppity overreaching Affirmative Action closeted Islamist that he is NOT ready to move into the “Big House”.....or the White House....
If this doesn’t wise up the >90% slavish black voters for Democrats, NOTHING will... The DNC NEVER regarded them as anything by bought votes....
Heads will explode and riots will commence the instant those poor dumb &%$&^#$% realize their Obama fraud has lost the nomination......
