MIKE REAGAN just threw McCain under the bus and drove over him.
Michael Reagan Show ^ | 04/24/08 | self

Posted on 04/24/2008 3:26:14 PM PDT by RadioCirca1970

Mike Reagan just said he wouldn't campaign for John McCain. Michael is disgusted that he would go to New Orleans and condemn the Federal Government for inaction. He also called the people in NOLA who wouldn't step up and accept responsibility losers. He was referring to Nagin and Co.

He said McCain is an idiot.

His bashing helps McCain more than his campaigning for him. Keep it up Mike!!!

There is a limit to the number of "independent/moderates" who will cross over and vote for McCain (due to McCain-bashing from people like Mike Reagan and Rush Limbaugh.)

After the limit has been reached, the bashing will only serve to keep good decent Republicans from voting for McCain in November.

That limit might have been reached already.

For example, I am from Pennsylvania. On Tuesday's primary, I and several other GOP volunteer poll watchers voted for all the good Republican candidates on the ballot.

We didn't vote for McCain, but simply left that ballot blank.

Well put. I feel 'zackly the same. McPain is merely less disgustingly horrible than Barack Hussein Obama or Hillary Hussein Clinton.

But...he still is disgustinlgy horrible.

I’m there.

Add California in there with Arkansas.
I don’t want the same thing to go national.

As far as conservatives are concerned, McPain threw himself under the bus.

Yes I remember that. Michael was in McCain’s camp and had the temerity to question his campaign manager, RINO Warren Rudman. McCain had a fit on the air and Michael had to hang up on him. “Senator McCain, goodbye.... Senator McCain, goodbye....”

I agree with regard to California. I try to keep it based on something folks had a great deal of revulsion for, and seemed to understand very well back in the 90s.

Other than that, you and I are on the same page.

There isn’t a glimmer of a hope I’ll vote for this guy.

I am not that proud of McCain, but look at the rats. They can not do anything right. Look at their screwed up way of running a primary. It is typical rat work to have special delegates that are more important than anyone else. The rats can screw anything up and they do all the time. I can not think of one thing the rats did for the good of the country.Rats can not do anything right. On my tombstone it will say “I was not perfect, but I never voted for a rat”.

I’ve reluctantly concluded that, as much as I detest McCain, the only thing that matters is the WOT. I usually am not a single issue voter, however, I think sitting this one out is playing politics with war. Iraq and Afghanistan are to important to be left to someone like Senator Clinton or Senator Obama.

Really, what's the worst that happens if one of those two idiots becomes president? My prediction is that each one will have some reason for "re-evaluating our options based on information available only to a President". In any case, if either Rat was not out of Iraq within six months of assuming office, the moonbats will go rabid on them.

What's the worst that can happen if we just pull our troops out of the way and let the ragheads annihilate each other? Will it be any harder for a future true conservative to saturation bomb Baghdad or Tehran? Yes, the WOT is important, but securing our own borders is the only thing we really need do to fight it here. And frisking grandmas for knitting needles is not helping the problem.

After McCain, though, I will never vote for another Republican just because “the alternative is worse.”

I'm one election ahead of you, because I believe that the probability of a McPain victory, and two years of his impotency presiding over a failing economy does us no favors in our attempt to get Congress back. It's too late for a true conservative to take the oath of office on January 20th, why not have someone in place who can take all the crap that is coming down, and will convince Americans that conservative Republicans are the only grown-ups left in this country?

Somalia looms too large in my mind for me to give Senator Clinton or Senator Obama the benefit of a doubt. Either one of them will do just enough to lose the war and save their rears.

As of right now, both Senator Clinton and Senator Obama have the political cover to justify losing the war. They can blame the prior administration and claim it was a mess that they inherited and there was nothing they could do.

What do you think would have happened if Senator McCain would have been president when the bodies our our soldiers were dragged through the streets? We know what happened when a Clinton was running things.

Allowing Iraq to turn into a bloody civil war would have consequences far worse then our economy tanking.

I’m more amused that its taken something as minor as this to turn some here on FR against McCain. The rest of us already know how McCain loves to push that knife further into the backs of conservatives.

True, but Iraq dissolving into a bloodbath does two things: 1) It show GWB was right 2) It makes less ragheads for the US to have to eliminate later when they get a President with the balls to do the job right.

What do you think would have happened if Senator McCain would have been president when the bodies our our soldiers were dragged through the streets? We know what happened when a Clinton was running things.

I also know what happened when the dead burnt bodies of US contractors were hanging from that bridge in Fallujah. Neither GWB nor McCain (who has been way too eager to forgive the Viet Cong) would have the stones to wipe Fallujah off the map. Maybe a true conservative Republican President would. We have no chance of seeing one before 2013, unless McCainiac gets elected because he was smart enough to pick a real conservative as VP, then croaks.

Allowing Iraq to turn into a bloody civil war would have consequences far worse then our economy tanking.

Presuming our servicepersons can get completely out of the way, what consequences are you talking about? Yes, if we do a slow withdrawal ala Vietnam, yes, there will be unnecessary US deaths (the only ones I really give a Shiite about). But if we figure out how to rip out quickly with some covering saturation bombing (something GWB could do between Election Day and 1/20/09), then we just watch towelheads ignite the fireworks they've been hoarding for the past couple of years. Maybe the place gets depopulated enough to be manageable, that's what we should have done back in 2003. But 'compassionate conservatism' doesn't fight wars to win them, it fights wars waiting for Jesus to change the enemy's hearts.

Bomb them all, and let their moon god sort them out.
