Look, it’s difficult enough that everyone thinks we (the USA) are supposed to be the world’s policeman and bank. We cannot also be responsible for actions other nations took nearly 100 years ago and make them right. History if FILLED with genocides. Must we make those right too? Well, we can’t.

Nobody is asking the US to be responsible. It would just be nice if this sad period of history was more well-known to prevent similar problems in the future. I would venture to guess that over half of Americans are clueless about this whole thing.

The US needs to honor righteousness above profiteering. It may be that the millions of slaughtered Christian souls are no longer with us and the Turks are...but that fact does not preclude making a moral statement that the genocide happened and we honor and remember its victims. They are after all the ancestors of US citizens.

To do otherwise is immoral and self defeating.
