Not to worry. Here are the 2 scenarios I see:
If Hillary somehow gets the nomination, the “always looking to be a victim” black community will consider it “stolen”. Hillary would lose at least 1/2 of the black vote and McCain wins going away. Even if she puts Obama on as VP many blacks still won’t accept it, because she would be seen as moving him aside. And it won’t take much of them staying home to kill her chances.
And no way Obama wins vs McCain...even with Hillary as VP. Obama has too many warts that have been exposed during Operation Chaos! Plus a segment of white America won’t vote for a black candidate whether or not they admit it to a pollster.
With that said, I’m certainly not thrilled with McCain. But he IS better than either of the other 2 choices.
Well said.
Totally agree. The point of Operation Chaos, is to continue to allow the deep divisions that now exist in the dem party. The Republicans didn’t cause this “civil war” within the dem party, but it now exists, so why not prolong it, if possible.
If Hillary should get the nod through the Super Delegates, even with Obama as VP, there’ll be chaos. How does it look...white woman with a black man as a “supporting role”, when the liberal dems and black voting block are convinced that Obama has already cinched the nomination.
It’s a win/win for us, either way, and a lose/lose for the Dems no matter what happens from here on out.
I disagree with your assessment of a Hillary/Obama ticket. It’ll be a landslide. If he keeps being knocked down and he WILL take the VP slot and be viewed as a Uniter who put aside his own interests to help the party and he will become a martyr. It might be the best way for him to win the Presidency..he’s still young and if he’s VP it’ll be a shoe-in for him in 8 years...give people the opportunity to get used to the idea. I don’t like how this is going...I hope Rush doesn’t live to regret this.
“If Hillary somehow gets the nomination”
Hillary needed to be winning these big states by 20 points.
She keeps missing the bar. The math is too steep for her.
Obama has more delegates and she cannot catch up.
He wins, she loses.
