Tony Snow cancels speeches at EWU
SPOKANE -- Former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow has canceled a series of speaking engagements at Eastern Washington University because of illness.
Snow was supposed to make a series of appearances Tuesday at EWU. However, he was taken to the hospital to be treated for exhaustion, in consultation with his doctor, according to a source at the University.
The source said he checked into the hospital at 9:30 a.m.
Snow was diagnosed with colon cancer several years ago, and he left his position as press secretary for President Bush in September to deal with the disease. He has said the cancer is in remission.
This week, Snow was hired by CNN to be a conservative commentator. Before being named Press Secretary, he spent several years working at CNN rival Fox News.
On Monday, Tony Snow appeared on KXLY 920 AM's Newscope with Mike Fitzsimmons.
KXLY.com's Brian Clark, KXLY 4's Janet O and the Associated Press contributed to this story.

I just heard Tony do the O’Reilly Radio Facter. Great job. Prayers and love to Tony to get better soon!

Let’s keep those praying going!
Very glad to hear you’re doing well this morning, but it’s too late - my extra-special top secret recipe prayers to Saint Anthony are already in transit. Maybe you can save ‘em for another time?
Hey listen, if your doctors still haven’t figured out why you were feeling poorly yesterday, you might wanna mention to them that you’d recently returned to CNN.
I’m not a health car professional or anything, but I’d think that Jack Cafferty’s 100 proof breath would be enough to knock anybody off his feet! ;-)
Take care, be good & get well!
Good to have a status update for this thread. I am presently in Asotin, southward in the L.- C. Valley. I was just there at Deaconess last Tuesday; didn’t know “the Snowman” was in Spokane.
No wonder the unseasonable weather continues across the Palouse!
A.A.C.
Prayers up for Tony Snow.
Praying for you and your family. I hope you will feel better soon! It has been so lovely to see and hear you a lot lately, but we also want you to rest and take care of yourself. God Bless you Tony! We love you!
I just saw this thread on our Tony. Haven’t read the earlier posts so don’t know if you have seen this or not. We need to get our Snowflakes together!
Tony, we’re all here praying for you!
Reading backwards—glad you’re here. I didn’t know there were still so many Tony fans; isn’t it wonderful? We pray for Tony every day as I’m sure many others do.
I’m going to be listening to O’Reilly Friday, just in case.
Funny timing....Sunday evening I started wondering where in the world is Tony and hoping he is well...
Monday I read about CNN and now I see you are in the hospital. Know that you are cared about. Prayers up!
He gets the results on Friday. The doctors are hoping it's just an infection or even scar tissue, and not a recurrence of the cancer. It's right near the spot where he had a tumor removed two years ago.
