You really shouldn’t go to any medical procedure where you will be administered anesthesia alone. You should always bring someone with you in case you are groggy when you come to and need someone to drive you home. Sometimes anesthesia makes you sick as well. And in some cases, God forbid, something could go wrong. I wouldn’t want to be by myself if I was going to go under.

Actually you have to sign forms stating you will not drive and they want somebody with you afterwards

Places around here won't do anesthesia unless someone takes you there and sticks around to take you home.

I’ve had a couple of procedures in the last six months that required anesthesia (not out cold but for pain relief). SOP at my hospital is being hooked up to monitors, O2 and an escort if you want to go home. It’s an overnight stay in the hospital without one.
