SCRANTON, Pa. - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama kicked off a day of campaigning in Pennsylvania by dropping by a Scranton diner for a breakfast of waffles, sausage and orange juice.
But the press corps went hungry — hungry for an answer that is.
The Illinois senator brushed aside a question from one reporter on his reaction to former President Jimmy Carter’s description of a positive meeting with leaders of the Islamist Palestinian group Hamas.
“Why can’t I just eat my waffle?” Obama replied.
Reporters traveling with the Illinois senator, fighting with his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton over Pennsylvania ahead of its vote on Tuesday, are venting frustration over a lack of access to the candidate lately. Obama has not held a press availability in 10 days, though he has given dozens of interviews to local press in Pennyslvania.
Republicans have pounced on Obama’s “waffle” comment, suggesting he is evading tough questions.
“Today, Obama continued to dodge questions from the media, responding that he just wanted to eat his waffle,” the Republican National Committee said in an email sent to reporters that included press accounts of the waffle incident at the Glider diner.
Both Obama and Clinton are far less accessible to the media than presumptive Republican nominee John McCain, known for holding lengthy question-and-answer sessions with reporters on his Straight Talk Express bus.
The sessions last so long that some reporters say they run out of questions.
Obama and this "waffle-ing" comment...couldn't make these things up! His obvious dislike of being questioned is so telling of his immature, boorish attitude. Kinda like a kid keeping secrets from his mother - remember: "Where did you go, son?" "Out." What did you do, son?" "Nothin." I guess that's the type of answers what we can expect in the future from Obama. Great presidential material - NOT!

The media folks are making a deal out of it. If he wants to eat without being bothered, then he should not go to a public place with a coterie of media folks. If he is that snippy to his “fans”, then imagine now he would react if he had to face a fraction of $**t that Bush has had to endure.
Billary has had to treat Obama with kid-gloves because she risks alienating the lefties too much. Once he’s running against McCain, and the freepers and fellow travelers start to work on him in earnest, he is definitely going to blow. Trust me, McCain’s vaunted temper is nothing compared to this guy is capable of. Nothing...you will see.

I think a lot of Democrats, at least the ones that are really DSUSA or CPUSA, expect their candidates to lie to get into office. They expect it, and if the rubes in flyover swallow the lie, it worked, it’s “effective”.
When Mrs Clinton or Obama or Kerry say they support the second amendment or tough immigration laws or whatever it takes, the dedicated cadre know it’s only being said to fool the bourgeois and capitalists into voting them into irrevocable power.
What leftist ever answers a question? Alinsky said “never answer a question from the questioner’s point of view”, or close to that, and you can see that carried out over and over with MSM complicity (no follow up question, for one thing) while a non- left person gets grilled over minutiae.

None of them ever do. On one of Rush’s better shows, he delineated the fact that the left will just LIE in the election so why even listen to them. So very true, but this is nothing new — it goes all the way back to Tammany Hall -— liars, thugs, cheats, crooks, communists, socialists, criminals -— the list goes on. The faux reality of the radical left, is just a pit of power and control, which contains nothing about the USA, its people, its issues, its core values and principles, or anything that is part of the American government process. They would redesign this country, burn its founding documents and put grey tunigs and red stars on every citizen if they could.
They will not expose themselves, although Obama has done a good job of doing just that, to a great degree, far greater than the Marxist Medusa, although they are both peas in the same Marxist pod. I hope the fight goes all the way to the convention and gets real bloody. The best thing that could happen for America.
