I agree that Italy has quite some problem but you totally miss the point about Berlusconi: he is a truly conservative guy.

I mean, he is conservative on EVERYTHING: values, taxation, foreign policiy. His record on these issues is indisputable.
What the heck are you talking about?

Besides, who would you vote for? A party whose government freed tons of criminals in his first important decreee?
A party whose government just taxed Italians to death?
(in case u dont know, i m talking about our own Democratic Party)

So you think the economic policy under Berlusconi was a success and helpful for italy? i can also lower taxes at the price of huge deficits. Vote for me i give everyone a job and one million cash but the problems will be solved in some years far away in the future. I could leave the euro and devalued the new currency that would help itlaian export companies for some months or years but after a while i would have to do the same thing again and again while the huge huge rates for my unbelievable debt and my crap currency will pay my children if i find someone who give some money under this conditions.

He solved the “problems” of your unbelievable election system and helps italy to become more stable and could start to solve the real problems?

Your complete political system is a joke and the italian people pay the price for this but perhaps they also cause this problems i don´t know. What has Berlusconi really done to solve these problems.

He had 15 years time (as all the others before) to solve all your problems or even start to do so but in the end nothing happened.

For italy it is not a question of parties of political directions. Even germany with the huge burden of the reunification had better growth numbers and not to talk about your financial situation. If Berlusconi is the best thing someone can get in italy i do not have much hope for your country.
