CROWN POINT -- Hillary Clinton showed her Midwestern roots by enjoying a couple mugs of Old Style on Sat. night at Bronko's restaurant.
She also drank a shot of Crown Royal whisky with mayors David Uran of Crown Point and Tom McDermott of Hammond before settling in for pizza in the bar.
She chatted with McDermott and Uran and his family for a half hour as patrons of the packed restaurant looked on.
"I pulled them draft Old Styles, and then I asked the senator if she wanted a shot of Crown Royal," bartender Russ Panning said. "She said 'Sure,' and she drank both drinks."

The food is very $$$$$$$$ pricey $$$$$$$$ but the lunch martinis are a speciality. They are VERY small, probably not quite an ounce. But it was fun. Commander’s Palace has been named Best Restaurant in the USA several times.

We just spent a week in New Orleans. The French Quarter did not flood. Many areas did not flood. I asked at Emeril’s in the Warehouse District - no warehouses - used to be that way now it is hotels, restaurants, convention center, near Harrah’s Casino, and the waiter said they didn’t flood in that area either. They want tourists to COME BACK they are ready and waiting for you!
I’ll have to try it next time I get down that way.
Friday morning before we left we FINALLY got to see a New Orleans parade! It is fun. Lots of brass bands and dancing and beads! It was the beginning of the French Quarter Festival. Later they will have JAZZ FEST and anyone who wants to have a great time and help N O get some of your money, go for that. It should be great music, and the food is fantastic.
My daughter had a hat like that, it was even BLUE!

Drinking is frowned on and not partaken of (openly, hah) in countless homes and farmhouses across the more rural areas. Tossing down a shot and a beer was probably not the smartest thing for Hillary to do.

Obama litmus test time. I thought Muslims were forbidden to drink alcohol so if he doesn’t belly up to the bar for a few shots to outdo Hillary then to me its just another reason for me to believe he is a Muslim Trojan Horse.
