Here's a clip taken by somebody at the San Francisco event; it's the passage just before the lines everyone is now focused on, in which he talks about the skepticism he encounters:
Here's how it is: in a lot of these communities in big industrial states like Ohio and Pennsylvania, people have been beaten down so long, and they feel so betrayed by government, and when they hear a pitch that is premised on not being cynical about government, then a part of them just doesn't buy it. And when it's delivered by -- it's true that when it's delivered by a 46-year-old black man named Barack Obama (laugher), then that adds another layer of skepticism.
TRANSLATION: "they are just dumb, racist hicks .... (laugher)"
Anyone have the whole video with the included lines about small town folks, guns etc..
“The Huffington Post’s Mayhill Fowler reports that, at that same San Francisco fundraiser where Obama revealed his previously unknown college sojourn to Pakistan...”

I don’t think he was expecting a large percentage of the small town America vote anyway, but now...
Well I was born in a small town
And I live in a small town
Prob’ly die in a small town
Oh, those small communities
All my friends are so small town
My parents live in the same small town
My job is so small town
Provides little opportunity
Educated in a small town
Taught the fear of Jesus in a small town
Used to daydream in that small town
Another boring romantic that’s me
But I’ve seen it all in a small town
Had myself a ball in a small town
Married an L.A. doll and brought her to this small town
Now she’s small town just like me
No I cannot forget where it is that I come from
I cannot forget the people who love me
Yeah, I can be myself here in this small town
And people let me be just what I want to be
Got nothing against a big town
Still hayseed enough to say
Look who’s in the big town
But my bed is in a small town
Oh, and that’s good enough for me
Well I was born in a small town
And I can breath in a small town
Gonna die in this small town
And that’s prob’ly where they’ll bury me
Small towns across PA are going to bury Barrack I think! John Cougar, even though you are a raving lib, your lyrics hit home today.
At least he’s owning up to the fact that his message of hope and change is just a slick sales “pitch,” and that many sensible people aren’t “buying” from the shyster.
I’m sure am glad he’s trying to keep race outta this. /s
There was once a time, long ago when I liked Mellencamp.
I listened to this buffoon and I can't see or hear a difference between what he said and what his mentor the Rev. Wright says every Sunday.
Yeah. Hillary and Obama OR Obama and Hillary will be unbeatable........................
HAHA!! So funny.
I’m just glad America is starting to see him for what he is.
This deserves a thread of its own.
When Muslim Southern Thais do that, they usually come home just to start killing.
And, more and more, it looks like the Obama fundraiser was penetrated by a Hillary operative. And it's being exploited by some pros.
First, an audio tape with the words -- which will prove damning in the Pennsylvania and Indiana races.
Now, after the Obama campaign has responded, the video follows -- with even more damning words.
Obama is a very ignorant and uninformed man -- an empty suit, as it were -- with an over-inflated ego. His wife is even more ignorant and uninformed, with an even larger ego. There's no way these people should be allowed to lead the free world.
And, now, they won't...
Those Chevy ads were the final nails in the coffin.
Message: white liberal audience thinks the non-Obama supporters are bigots.
Those Chevy ads ruined the 2006 MLB playoffs for me. That and the Mets losing the NLCS in seven games to the worst team to have ever won a World Series.

That’s what I was wondering.
Maybe the filmer is looking for big bucks for the best stuff, this is just a teaser.
“and they feel so betrayed by government”
I think the people that are betrayed most by government, are the people with lives going nowhere living on Government programs, and taxpayers who work hard to pay for these people.
