Girl Giggles As Bail Set In Video Beating

BARTOW, Fla. -- One of eight teens accused of taking part in the notorious videotaped "animalistic" beating of another Central Florida teen snickered while a judge issued bail on Friday.

April Cooper, 14, giggled and attempted to hold in her laughter as she was told that she was being held on $36,000 bond, Local 6 News reported. It's not known why Cooper giggled.

A judge set bails ranging from $30,000 to $37,000 for each during their first court appearances.

They also were ordered to stay away from their high school and Internet social networking sites, such as MySpace. The judge also ordered them not to have any contact with the victim or each other.

The accused range in age from 14 to 18. The state attorney's office said all will be tried as adults on charges that include kidnapping.

The judge has ordered everyone involved in the case not to talk to the media. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd called the incident "animalistic" attack when he released the video on Monday.

The videotape of the beating has been viewed widely on national TV and the Internet this week.

Families Seek Protection

Families of the teens accused in the beating have received death threats from across the country after their addresses and phone numbers were posted on the Internet, inside a YouTube video.

The new YouTube video calls out for the public to take action, saying, "let your voices be heard."

The video then posts the girls' names, their phone numbers, addresses and other information.

Local 6 reported that some of the families have spoken with deputies about the possibility of getting protection for their safety.

The six girls are accused of luring Victoria Lindsay to a home so they could videotape her beating over some apparent online "trash talk."

Stephen Schumaker and Zachary Ashley are accused of acting as lookouts during the attack.

Schumaker, the only one of the eight arrested to be released from jail, told Local 6 that his family is receiving death threats from all over the United States.

"I don't see why I'm even in this whole situation," Schumaker said in an interview for Local 6.

The videotaped beating was seen by more than 500,000 people as of Thursday night and prompted e-mails to Local6.com from all over the country.

It was the most-viewed video on YouTube at one point Thursday, Local 6 reported.

Wrong Information Posted Online

Meanwhile, an innocent family was targeted by angry callers after their information was mistakenly posted online.

The couple said they got around 300 angr

y, abusive calls from all over the country Wednesday.

I had a roommate that giggled everytime something bad happened. She drove me crazy. One of us would be in pain over something but she just sat there and giggled, no matter how inappropriate.

Here is the link to a video showing the parents:

I live in this area of FL. People here can be dirt poor.

Tack that onto the fact that I’m sure some of these kids have single moms, where they have to work two jobs and are never home to supervise, the kids grow up with “pack” morals because they were raised by their peers in the high school - it’s a disastrous recipe. The fruit of our modern society that has worked so hard to destroy the family.

I’ll bet none of these girls goes to church. The grandmother at whose home this attack occurred was at work, with 8 kids there. She doesn’t think the kids deserve jail, just a good talking to.

It’s amazing to me that whole segments of society live like this. And they probably all vote Democrat. Yes, they are people, but some people are trash.

"April Cooper, 14, giggled and attempted to hold in her laughter as she was told that she was being held on $36,000 bond."

Sick, put her in a room and make her listen to Yoko Ono until she repents.

If that doesn't staighten her out try playing "The Night Chicago Died" for a day.

Not evil, just extra-stupid I think. They most likely learned this behavior from movies in my opinion. ... For acting out a fantasy, their lifes are ruined.

Uhhh ... wasn't that exactly what Ted Bundy was doing?

I fear for my generation as the present youth will be our caretakers when we are old and infirm.

Don't worry, buy that time you will be saved by "Soylent Green".

On the noon news here in Orlando, they said Dr. Phil bailed one of the girls out and will pay for her attorney.

Just like Hollywood sick parents cashing in on sick kids.

For acting out a fantasy, their lifes are ruined.

Their lives are ruined only if they allow them to be. They have a good start, now is the time to change course.

He belongs to the church of Oprah! No such thing as sin,but then he had to get out there in public to let everyone know what he did and then he can bring the girl on his show.

Don’t think Florida would give them opportunity to change course. Probably going to get 10+ years each if not more. Kidnapping qualifies for Death Penalty. Once in the “Corrections” system, I can’t imagine it having any positive impact on their lives.

Ted Bundy and Charles Manson weren’t 14 year old girls.

...but I’m betting, at fourteen both were well along in what would ultimately be their downfall.

Yes, it is. Bundy said in his 1989 interview he was acting out the fantasies he pulled from detective magazines featuring the torture and murder of beautiful women.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida elementary school student was tasered Thursday after punching a school security officer during a fight.

The incident began when teachers at the Moss Elemenary School in Orange County confronted an 11-year-old girl for allegedly attempting to push another student into ongoing traffic outside the campus, MyFOXOrlando.com reported.

Authorities say the young female ignored the teacher and walked inside the homeroom, where she was again approached by teachers over her behavior. The student responded by thowing a desk and chair and attempting to spit on the instructor, according to MyFOXOrlando.com.

Donna Hudepohl, a school resource officer called to remove the troubled girl from the classroom, was allegedly pushed and punched in the face during a struggle to restrain her.

Hudepohl responded by tasering the girl.

The student was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, disrupting a school function as well as resisting with violence and is being held at the juvenile detention center.

Hudepohl was treated for a possible broken nose.

Lesbian ‘vampire’ lovers jailed for life for bludgeoning to death British teenager with concrete block

The runaway teenager had told her parents she wanted to come home.
Perhaps 16-year-old Stacey Mitchell had had enough of sharing a house with two lesbians who thought of themselves as vampires.

But she would never make that trip. She had aroused the jealousy of one of her flatmates, even though she had been living with them for only 11 days.

So the two women drugged Stacey and then battered her to death with a concrete block. They also tried to strangle her with a dog chain.

When, 45 minutes after the attack began, she finally died, her killers celebrated with a kiss over her body - which they then dumped upside down in a rubbish bin.

When country has 50 million children killed through abortion and the count just keeps getting higher and higher, but where is the true outcry! That is why crimes such as this doesn’t mean much to some people. After all it’s nothing to kill a child so beating one up can’t compare. There is the mindset. Look at our leaders who fight so that abortion can continue and two of them proudly support partial birth abortion! And Obama wants them dead even after they accidentally are born alive to kill them. He is evil!

If I’d been the judge, I would’ve denied her bail. I mean, what the heck???, if a defendant isn’t taking things seriously, you’ve got to wonder if it’s wise to release her.
