I don't know anything more about this case than what is in the article but I can't believe the jury bought that story.

I can't believe the jury bought that story. I would like to read more on this. If the explosives weren't wired, and depending on other evidence, he may have been telling the truth (he was turning it in wanting to inform..)
..waiting for all the court docs to be released..

I can't believe the jury bought that story. Trial by a "Jury of your Peers" is a US invention. An Austrian Criminal case involving offences which are liable for a prison sentence not exceeding 5 years is dealt by the Provincial Court Judge sitting alone.
