Local and state officials entered the temple of a secretive polygamist sect late Saturday, said lawmen blockading the road to the YFZ Ranch near Eldorado.
The action comes hours after local prosecutors said officials were preparing for the worst because a group of FLDS members were resisting efforts to search the structure.
The Texas Department of Public Safety trooper and Schleicher County sheriffs deputy confirmed that officials have entered the temple but said they had no word on whether anything occurred in the effort.
The incursion into the temple caps the three-day saga of the states Child Protective Services agency removing at least 183 women and children from the YFZ Ranch since Friday afternoon. Eighteen girls have been placed in state custody since a 16-year-old told authorities she was married to a 50-year-old man and had given birth to his child.
Saturday evening, ambulances were brought in, said Allison Palmer, who as first assistant 51st District attorney, would prosecute any felony crimes uncovered as part of the investigation inside the compound.
In preparing for entry to the temple, law enforcement is preparing for the worst, Palmer said Saturday evening. They want to have medical personnel on hand in case this were to go in a way that no one wants.
Apparently as a result of action Saturday night at the ranch, about 10:15 p.m. Saturday, a Schleicher County school bus unloaded another group of at least a dozen more women and children from the compound.
Although members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or FLDS, have provided varying degrees of cooperation to the sheriffs deputies and Texas Rangers searching the compound, all cooperation stopped once authorities tried to search the gleaming white temple that towers over the West Texas scrub, Palmer said.
There may be those who would oppose (entry) by placing themselves between law enforcement and the place of worship, Palmer said Saturday afternoon. If an agreement cannot be reached law enforcement will have to as gently and peaceably as possible make entry into that place.
Sect members consider the temple, dedicated by then-leader of the sect Warren Jeffs in January 2005 and finished many months later, off-limits to those who are not FLDS members, said Palmer, who prosecutes felony cases in Schleicher County.
Palmer said she didnt know the size or makeup of the group inside the temple.
The earlier refusal to provide access was even more disconcerting because CPS investigators have yet to identify the 16-year-old girl or her roughly 8-month-old baby among the dozens removed from the compound, Palmer said.
Anytime someone says, Dont look here, she said, it makes you concerned thats exactly where you need to look.
The girl told authorities in two separate phone calls a day apart that she was married to a 50-year-old man, Dale Barlow, who had fathered her child, Palmer said.
The joint raid included the Texas Rangers, CPS, Schleicher County and Tom Green County sheriffs deputies and game wardens from the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife.
Although CPS and Department of Public Safety officials have described the compounds residents as cooperative, Palmer disagreed.
Things have been a little tense, a little volatile, she said.
Authorities removed 52 children Friday afternoon and 131 women and children overnight Friday. About 40 of the children are boys, said CPS spokeswoman Marleigh Meisner.
No further children have been taken into state custody since Friday, when 18 girls were judged to have been abused or be at imminent risk for abuse. CPS has found foster homes for the girls, Meisner said, and will place them after concluding its investigation.
Meisner declined to comment on the fate of the 119 other children and said authorities were still searching the ranch for others Saturday evening.
Theyre in the process of looking, she said. Theyre literally about halfway through.
How does Jesus Mother family history deny Jesus still being the ONLY Begotten Son of Heavenly Father, as far as I know there has never has been another Son...

The mormon leaders claim that the mormon “god” was the “sire” of Jesus...
“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints proclaims that Jesus Christ is the Son of God in the most literal sense. The body in which He performed His mission in the flesh was sired by that same Holy Being we worship as God, our Eternal Father. Jesus was not the son of Joseph nor was He begotten by the Holy Ghost. He is the son of the Eternal Father! (President of the Quorum of the Twelve, Ezra Taft Benson)
Now this one is strange..
“Mormons differ from other Christians in our literal belief that we are begotten of God spiritually and that Christ was begotten of him physically. Paul says in Acts that we are God’s offspring (17:28-29). We believe that our spiritual conception was sexual just as we believe that Christ’s mortal conception was. Elucidating the latter, James E. Talmage says, “That child to be born of Mary was begotten of Elohim the Eternal Father, not in violation of natural law, but in accordance with a higher manifestation thereof” (1986, 81).”(Robert A. Rees, Bishop of the Los Angeles First Ward in a sacrament meeting talk on April 29th, 1990, entitled “Bearing Our Crosses Gracefully: Sex and the Single Mormon.”)
I know I should not ask but you are trying to make some scarcastic point towards the LDS but really don’t quite understand what some FMer is telling you!
Thank you. Cannot believe these arguments about genealogy, when the scriptures have explained clearly, He is the Son of God.
would you tell your FMer to just post this instead of having you who has no clue what you are doing.
If you are going to post something at least know what you are posting!
So disrepect but your thinking is like scramble eggs you do not have dyslexic to fall back on...
You are able to used the language very well when you under the subject but when you try to tell what someone else is saying you mess up big time!
what is a FMer??
THIS, coming from you, resty is just
Nana, are you borrowing resty's old trick of letting someone feed you stuff? Shame on you, LOL.
Freep Mail how long have you been here unless you are the FM!
huh? How can I be the Freep Mail?
I’m lost here.
the more you talk the more it reveals your wicked soul...
ohhhh..... you meant to say that I’m the FREEP MAILER WHO IS FREEP MAILING Nana???? I’m slow today!
Resty, all these quotes Nana has posted are at your disposal all over the internet. Google is our friend.
Ya know. I read that last post, and virtually every sentence is impossible to figure out what you are trying to say.
A case in point was this one (though nearly all the rest were as.. disjointed)...
“I been a convert for 26 years now and if I heard as much of what you heard in one year.”
... and if I heard as much as you heard in one year... what? It sounds as if you were leading to something, but then lost the thought halfway thru the sentence. Reminds me of when my grandmother had alzheimers.
In any event, if you scroll back, you will find that, up until the point that you began claiming that I was against the LDS (I think “jaded against the LDS was how you put it) or something... the ONLY thing I had stated about it at all was this...
” I am NOT real fond of Mormons whom I believe to be following a false doctrine.”
Ok, so I stated that I think they are following a false doctrine... something I think most denominations do in one way or another. But simply making that statement hardly amounts to bashing the mormons. If it is, then you are entirely too thin skinned. On the other hand, if I had sat here listing a dozen or so reasons, one after the other... THEN it might amount to mormon bashing.
You completely mischaracterize the things I stated, and thus, you bore false witness. Tell me again about how you can show me how to follow the commandments more precisely.
I am convinced... you are either senile, or are willfully mischaracterizing things I say. So save your comments for someone else.
you mean for disimfortion for the obtuse...
You just can’t get enough of me....
No, I did not mean that.
I’m guessing that quite a bit of the information on these threads presented to you are unfamiliar. Quite a shock, huh?
And meanwhile, you do not think that willfully mischaracterizing what someone says, twisting their words into something that was obvious to anyone who actually READ it clearly... or even more blatantly, saying I said things I NEVER said, is not being rude? If that is what you think, then fine by me. Feel free to think what you like, and I will feel free to do the same regarding you.
BTW, if I were to be typing in all caps, then ya might acuse me of yelling. But when I do it to particular words, it is to give emphasis only, which I would do with italics or underlining, or bold type, if I knew how to do so on this forum. People have mischaracterized the things I said often enough that I am making the effort, thru selective capitalization, to show emphasis where it is needed in order for my messages to be more easily understood as they are meant to be. You have a problem with that? Tough.
I don't think they had time for that and they do not strike me as being inclined to do such a thing.
The fact the guy accused of the crime listed in the warrant has actually been living in Arizona for apparently quite some time points to this being the work of an outsider that had a little knowledge of the inner workings of the facility. Enough to know a name, not enough to know he did not live there.
The conclusion? We could be looking at a case of regional-phobia on the part of the local pops about "those people" living in their area. Whoever made those calls claiming to be abused by their "husband" would have known the person named didn't even live there.
Resty, you would be better off on this thread to look to your OWN deluded by mormonism soul, rather that make that kind of accusation against others. You have made similar accusations about others here and you aren't convincing anyone of either your intelligence OR your worthiness to judge others.
One really has to wonder just how far the moderators on FR will allow you to go in your continual nasty personal attacks against others on thread after thread. To date, there doesn't seem to be any limit to their tolerance of YOU while they bust others for much less egregious posts.
Just keep in mind though, there is a Moderator who IS keeping watch on the things you say.
