Perhaps if David Parker of Lexington, Mass., instead of being a Christian, were Muslim his kids public schools would have withdrawn the same books.

Exactly. This is yet another example of the UK capitulating to dhimminess. The only reason these books were withdrawn was because Muslims complained. Christians would have been told to go pound sand.

The decision was made to enable the schools to “operate safely” after parents voiced their concerns at meetings.
So the school was worried about being able to “operate safely” after the Muslims “voiced their concerns”. Clearly the powers-that-be aren’t scared of Christian parents with similar complaints over the years, but they did learn something from what the Muslims did in other European protests!

I don't think there's any anti-Christian pro-Muslim bias at work here. It's appeasement of Muslims out of fear.
Even though the Muslim parents in question are making no threats, any demand by a Muslim is implicitly a threat. The Muslim "street" and all that.
