What Nixon did is was nothing compared to what the Democrats are doing on a daily basis, and McCain has been helping them every chance he gets!

Why is he still in office? Yet my congressman John Doolittle had to retire because of the appearance of impropriety because of dealings with John Abramoff, nothing proven...Just Accusations!
I totally agree, but I was thinking more in terms of Nixon’s domestic policy (i.e.: the wage and price controls of the early 70’s, creating the EPA IIRC to name two examples). Particularly vis a vis McCain...I don’t really remember reading anything about Nixon going out of his way to “reach out” to the Dims acrossed the aisle to the same extent that McCain has.
Hell, I think even the Dims of the past have covered up everything. You mention William Jefferson (D-LA), one could go back to the days of Huey Long to show how deep corruption runs with them...heck if you advance “the cause” well enough they’ll name a bridge over the Mississippi River after you.
